The not blowing up a cradle could also lead to a discussion about that you don't always have to make the most optimal play. Sometimes it can be just as much fun, or even more fun, to make a suboptimal play.

I can see that, just not in this case though. They really could have ended the game any number of ways from that position, which would be bad for whatever Kao's goals were during that game. But yeah in some situations like a new players, a precon, or just some commander that never sees the light of the day, I might use a peice of removal on the deck ive seen win way too many times even if their board state is slightly behind the underdog player.

Says no other boros commanders have indestructible while Iroas is in hand :) glad to see your back

He stated that it was the only Boros commander with unconditional indestructible, and while Iroas is indestructible all the time he’s not a creature some of the time and is kinda conditional.

I am curious what was Kaotics' reason for not hitting the Cradle? Were they just hoping to turn it off after a board wipe?

Maybe they liked the Arcade's deck and wanted to see it pop off.

Not something i'd run everywhere, but possibly a good spot for Avacyn's Memorial. Rabble Rousing feels like a must. Grand Crescendo, if it ever makes to to mtgo will be a must as well. Same with Call the Coppercoats and maybe Horn of Valhalla too. Didn't see it in the deck, but Eiganjo Uprising could also be very strong.

Every deck is a good deck for Avacyns Memorial! Card is so strong...if it sticks you probably win type things. I will need to check out some of the other ones though.

Editing videos is the best!!! I played a game with my two friends, who i love BUT..... I call them the "Long turn boys" behind their back. We played Saturday and what should have been a 25 min game was like 65 min.

With 1000 videos coming into view, I am really just over doing the editing at this point. Ive been thinking about some life changes that might allow me to get an editor so i can focus more on the creation aspect.

For another addition to boros month, I'd love to see what you can do with amber gristle o' maul with the veteran soldier background. I've had good results with it since, if you attack the opponent with the highest life total, you will always be able to draw the maximum amount of cards off of amber's trigger. I've out drawn blue splash decks more often than not. And the commanders pair really nicely with winota which is a massive bonus

Grolnok's got a very simple combo involving one of those Cephalids that self-mill and pass Greaves between the Frog and itself to mill out your library completely, then winning with the usual LabMan/Thoracle/JaceWoM

I run hermit druid and 2 of each basic. With how the deck runs, I can usually grab them, play both, then win from there

Glad you realized the salt was unjustified. Respect to Kao, it sucks spending four turns being the villain for being the only one running answers. I'd also caution behind pointing fingers when your white deck runs four pieces of removal, zero ways to remove artifacts/enchantments, no StP/PtE, and no way of dealing with the Gaea's Cradle. You're exceptionally fortunate others were playing less greedy decks than yours - that walls deck would have run you all over if everyone was as light as you were on removal.
@CommanderReplay
@CommanderReplay Жыл бұрын
Its basically the trade off I make for content. Skimping on removal allows us to look at a few extra cards we might not have otherwise seen. On average I run about 10-12 peices of removal per deck which is still solid, but I fully understand that if I ran 15-17 I probably wouldnt ever lose based on the level of decks that most people in the group bring. It allows opponents to show their decks and also gives them a chance against what Im doing.
@treycuret
@treycuret Жыл бұрын
@@CommanderReplay That makes a ton of sense - when you only play one game with a deck, it is probably better to jam all the new "cool" cards in and see which ones work best. Again, I'd just caution against then becoming upset when other players spend their resources on what they perceive to be threats. It feels like you're trying to have it both ways when you do that :)

It's good that you apologised and saw your mistake. I've defo gotten salty myself sometimes, it can happen to the best of us. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that it's just a game and that getting heated over it likely really isn't worth it. Can certainly be easier said than done though. Only thing I'll say is whiles I get you saw an immediate need for the GC to go we should also allow others to play how they want regardless of the end outcome. Sure we can politic, offer advice and the like but telling people what to do and or being angry when someone doesn't do what we think is the best play is a bit selfish and arrogant in some ways. After all you still won this game and the Arcades player didn't do anything too bonkers with that GC so people don't always have to agree with your line of play. They will have their own perspectives and threat assessments. You are someone they have to beat also after all. Anyway gg.

Astor was pretty fun, but it has more or less 2 build paths. Cadric looks like it can do some wild stuff and it looks like it might take some exploration to find all of the really cool interactions.
