Well, I don't want to sound partial to Farsi because I'm Iranian, but having said that, this is like comparing the English language to American English dialect and Irish English dialect! All in all it's the same language that came from England hence English. Granted that in Tajikistan they call it Tajik officially but it is Persian/Parsi/Farsi (F in Farsi because Arabic does not have P in their Alphabet). The same goes for Dari, they call it officially Dari but it is the Farsi/Parsi language! Regardless they are all beautiful!

Our Pashtun rulers in the 1960s changed the name of the Persian language in Afghanistan to ' dari ' . In fact no one uses the name dari in Afghanistan, everyone says Farsi.

The original Persian is spoken in Fars (Pars) province of Iran. Dari in afghanistan is heavily mixed with Urdu/Hindi, and tajiki is mixed with turkish and Russian.

That’s not true lmao. Farsi, Dari and Tajik (Farsi in general) all sound the same just with some different word choices and different slightly different pronunciation of letters. Dari is not mixed with Urdu or Hindi and Tajik is not mixed with Turkish. Tajik may be mixed with Russians because of Soviets but the rest is not true. The Afghan version of Farsi is almost or even like the original Farsi that was spoken over 2000 years ago. It’s one of the oldest languages and much older than Hindi. And us Afghans speak it in the original form, not even Iranians do that. Hindi and Urdu definitely did not influence it, it’d rather be the other way around. I don’t want to say too much about Tajiks cause I don’t know much about them since I’m Afghan but I’m pretty sure there is no real correlation between them and the Turkish people. Some of them might descend from Turks but not from Turkish people.

Non-Iranic words like Maqbool and many more are used in Dari and Tajik Persian instead of Ziba which is used in Iranian Persian. Also, Iranian Persian most commonly uses French Merci for saying thanks. Sepas is the Pure Persian alternative. Ghermez is Persian word originally anyways. Phonetically Tajik is extremely far away from literature Persian.
