Great to see this latest installment. I saw a few posts on horizon unlimited so gathered life had got in the way of editing which I am sure we can all appreciate. Thanks Darren, Yeah one of my friends told me about the post on Horizons. Its actually really humbling to hear people cared and were worried about us so we're both incredibly sorry about no updates. Future trips.... definitely some around Australia as we both still have our DR's though they have seen better days haha. We talk about Africa one day maybe but the stars would have to align for that. That's awesome. As you can tell mate we're far from professional riders haha. Don't get me wrong I definitely wish I had a car at times but I'd definitely go on a bike again. Alot easier to get about and I think locals are more friendly when you're on a bike and more approachable. Either would be awesome though

Glad you're back! Watching earlier eps ( my interest in Kgz) I was surprised/shocked how much grief the DRs were giving you. As a DR rider I found my bike to be bullet proof but I haven't pushed it as hard as your have. You easily have the most authentic M/C ADV channel. Kgz and Kzk are amazing countries/people (not in winter) but not easy to get there.

Hi Steve, to be honest the DRs were amazing and the issues were just maintenance (bearings, clutch plates etc) needed for trips that long with higher KM bikes although saying that later on we do have a very annoying issue come up. I suppose the most important and best thing is we could fix the DRs ourselves. Yeah thanks mate, we're just some mates having a laugh mostly rather than trying to be overly dramatic. Really happy you're enjoying the channel, for bike riding I honestly don't think there is a better place to explore than the Stan's.

Some memories that make me want to go back to Kyrgyzstan, awesome scenery, glaciers, mountains, hot springs and waterfalls,, Japanese looking people who speak English with a Russian accent, they call a shop 'magazin' when they are speaking English. It was odd how strangers would become familiar with me after a few words, I'm used to the impersonal way of doing things in western countries. The emptiness of the place, how kids approach a stranger with big smiles and say 'priveet' in rural parts. I also saw a family having a picnic and passing around the vodka!

We als loved the Wakham corridor. And were also astounded to see most of the cylists riding west to east or as you noted uphill. We asked, "why are you guys riding uphill". And the answer was, "we prefer to ride up hill with the prevailing wind behind us, rather than the other way round". Fair enough I guess. Oh the locals were fantastic as you guys also experienced.
