That was indeed the best route. We took the same option in 2017 (on DR650) and had similar river challenges and detours. Still thinking about that day a lot! The best country for off-tarmac riding, without a doubt. Very cool to see this again in a well-edited version :). Thanks for that

Thanks mate and glad you like the channel. I do think if we were to try over dramatize situations and exaggerate things like some do the channel could be 100 times larger but its just not us. We chose to do the trip and knew we would have issues so no point moaning about it. We hope it shows a real example of what its like to do a trip like ours all the good and bad sides of it.

Having done ridden the Great Divide in the US on mountain bike with a good buddy of my own, it always makes me think of the difficulties we had in our travels. @@Northandleftabit We did have a 6 month trip planned through Russia, Kazakstan and Mongolia , time off work, visa paid for and agreed and bikes prepared, then 5 weeks before we had to stop because of Covid. Now we just have to negotiate time off again and travel to the Stans (But probably 3 months due to work commitments)
