We got Holied in Varanasi India - Ep. 12

After about 2 weeks in India, we have finally made it to Varanasi and just in time for the Holi colour festival. It is not exactly what we expected!
Riding our motorbikes into Varanasi was an adventure all on its own, but it was just the beginning to a culture filled few days. This religious hub really is a city everyone needs to experience. Add Holi into the mix and it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
From Varanasi we ride further west to Agra to see the Taj Mahal where we participate in a rather peculiar photo shoot with our local guide. From there we head to Chand Baori, an incredible step well in the middle of arid India. India is a cultural shock that we cannot get enough of
The bikes we are riding are 2 x Suzuki DR650 dual sport motorcycles. We started the trip in Sydney, Australia and the plan is to make it all the way to London (Spoiler alert - We successfully finished the trip, this is a throwback to March 2019)

Guys your video just got recommended for me and I am happy to see you both in our country. We are developing brother, so basically if any problem related to infra has bothered you then sorry for it. Brother I will suggest you that whenever you come again to india, go to South India as well , there culture is totally different from that of North India. Cities like Madras ,Goa, Bangalore Kochi ,Kanyakumari etc. These are some very beautiful cities of South India.🇮🇳 At the end , Happy journey brother 🤟.

Lovely following. Aim for Forts in Rajahstan and Raj Palaces. You will find some really awesome, out of the way, reasonable ones to stay in too. No matter what get to Mandawa ... very special, but was getting pricey even in 1999. Haven't seen your route, but Ladakh is fantastic, Little Tibet.

Hi Travis, haha such a nice comment to get and don't you worry the Stan's are worth the hype, it's riding heaven and we have one large f up which involves abandoning the bikes in snow and hiking out for 2 days as we destroyed them and couldn't ride further haha

I´ve been there in 2009. The trick is to come at opening time (which is around 5:30am). Laying on the warm, clean marble floor at sunrise (in near silence) is unreal.

Just found you guys, and love the videos. The hard part is when binging, one forgets to make the screen small again to push 👍 like...so don't take it personally, as I'm sure it's the same as the rest.
