This was our best day ever! This is a hidden gem in North Carolina! The squad car tour is so amazing. The drivers are so friendly, down home, and knowledgeable. The town has done such a great job preserving, recreating, and keeping the entire Mayberry and Andy Griffith story alive. I also did not know that Donna Fargo was from Mt. Airy originally. Well worth the trip...

I was born and raised in North Carolina and I remember so many visits to Mt. Airy with school or church. Wonderful memories! Right now I'd kill for a pork chop sandwich from Snappy Lunch but I am now 2000 miles away. The driver and tour guide was so fun! Thank you.

I took the squad car tour and it was amazing! This was my first visit to Mayberry Days! I actually met Ronnie Schell's son in Walker's Restaurant! He is in this video! I asked him if anyone had mentioned to him that he looked a lot like Glenn Campbell and he said but that he considered that a compliment because Glenn was very talented! I told him his father was also talented! I enjoyed our little chat and look forward to returning to Mount Airy for the next Mayberry Days!
