I follow Lance and I also invest with him. I always try to see two sides of the picture but it is really hard for me to understand how he is so negatively biased toward real estate agents. The courthouse would be full of lawsuits if it wasn't for that shield of protection. People get extremely emotional during real estate transactions and start being stupid. They have to have somebody to advise them just like a financial advisor to keep their head on straight

I gave your Comment a Thumbs-up because, I appreciate the balanced perspective you're offering. However, [though I'm not slamming Real Estate Agents, necessarily] I will not endorse them as operating within your best interest - not at all. At the end of the day, your Real Estate Agent's primary motivation is to see you (the Client) purchase a home - e.g., Close-a-Deal, which is how they'll earn their commission. Your Agent neither knows about the financing you may have already secured, nor has any understanding of how that may affect you during the course of your home ownership... I'm realizing now that I shouldn't have started writing this comment; because, defenders-of-Agents will likely put forth unsubstantiated arguments... I shouldn't have started this because I need about 2pages to explain why your Real Estate Agent, in fact, may be the worst person to escort you on your house-hunting journey...

I don't know what real estate agents you choose but you clearly choose very poor ones. I'm a lender and nobody up sells clients, they only try to fit the clients budget. If it's realistic anyway

​@@amandaanddavidhillcompetit4227 I agree, my wife is a licensed real estate agent and she always negotiates/writes sales contracts. She spends alot of time doing this. Back in the day lawyers would do this service at a much higher cost. There is no way a typical customer would be able to navigate through this paper jungle.
