This video is a beginner level guitaraoke play along for Take Me Home Country Roads by John Denver. Playing along with a backing track is great for beginner players to work on staying in time and the piano melody helps those who don't sing to know where they are in the song, and makes it more musical. A great tool for beginners - the app have amazing reviews - go check it out in the free trial!

Justin. Wow. A million followers! Fantastic. I'd say it's unbelievable but there it is on the screen. So, I started learning guitar 3 months ago, making use of your lessons and practicing every single day, even if it's only for ten minutes. When I had just started, I came to this video. I live in West Virginia -- I need to know how to play this. But, I wasn't ready. I knew the chords, but it might take me three to five seconds to get my fingers in place. That's not going to work, so I abandoned this. My practice includes various things like blues riffs, blues rhythm playing, and always all the standard position chords and switching around between them. So, I come back to this video tonight and, boom, easy. I just played right along with you. Nothing to it. People, you can do this! Invest the practice. Follow Justin's lessons and practice, practice, practice. The better you get (and it doesn't take that long) the more fun it becomes. Trust me on this. The learning curve is steep right at the beginning, but hang in there. One tune I would recommend for rank beginners is Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs. If you like that kind of slow "stoned out Hendrix" kind of thing, you'll love it. The main vamp is SUPER EASY and it will lead you straight into unisons, unison bends an easy new chord (Cmaj7 -- I love major 7ths). The main vamp is a great background for trying out easy blues riffs if you want. It also helps you loosen up with moving up and down the fretboard easily. I started with Bridge of Sighs almost from the beginning and it was a great help for me, especially since I love the tune. If you love a tune, you'll play it over and over, and practice doesn't seem like practice. Thank you, Justin, for making your video lessons. Your follower count is a monumental tribute to how valuable they are.

Can't wait to be finished studying so I can get back into learning to play. These play along's are a great idea, when I used the trial I found I wanted to see how you would play so I'd watch the songs on your other channel but it was a bit more than I needed. These are great for just checking in to make sure I'm on track. WIll definitely be getting a sub later in the year.

And to sum up, you are a great inspiration that motivated tons of people like me to pick up my set of six strings to give it a try. Wish you an excellent day ahead and stay blessed. Cheers!

Move your hand up and down at a fixated time (like 2/4 times per beat) and then play the strings whenever you feel like doing it. I mean: move as if your hand was a metronome, strum once you found a pattern inside the song. Hope this helped

This version of the backing track is so much easier to play along with than the current one in the app - which has a real band playing, instead of a MIDI track. In the current app version the rhythm is hard to hear as there are no drums. In this version it is crystal clear. I was struggling to keep a solid tempo and didn’t knew quite why. Now I understand …

Is it ok to just start by trying to play the chords in time, without worrying about strumming? I was just trying to get my hands to make the correct shapes and strumming down once for each chord. That alone was a challenge!! (I’m a complete beginner. I plan on strumming with a pattern once I get better)

At least the f maj.7 isn't difficult like the F chord. Looks like the C just lower the second and third finger one string. How come the G was only 3 fingers? I thought it was 4. How come nobody tells me the easier way lol You should do a video on the easiest way to play each chord. Which you probably have, just point me in the right direction. Great lesson! A song from my childhood. We used to ride in the back of my dads truck (When it was still legal) and sing this song.

I'm sorry but I had to in return for the thumbs down to your comments also because basically Justin's just expanding his name and his brand which is perfectly fine. he's just very much easily geared towards beginners helping them on their journey of learning how to master guitar he also has all his other stuff too..instead of putting the goddamn thumbs down just support what he does. so therefore you have a thumbs down in return
