This has always been one of my Mom’s favorite songs, and as she approaches her 80th birthday, she is slowly slipping away from us, deep in the clutches of dementia and failing health. Somehow, I’ve found that her love and memory of her favorite music is still intact… so I sing this song to her whenever I see her, and she still tries to sing along with me. It’s a beautiful and agonizing moment to share. Your rendition is simply exquisite. Thank you. I will listen to this often and always think of those times, when I could still sing this song together with my mom. ♥️

Your comment really hit home for me. My mom was always the biggest John Denver fan and I could never stand him. She's 75 and has been deep in the throws of dementia for about seven years, yet she still hangs on. Every time I hear any John Denver song now, I stop what I'm doing and have a quiet moment to think. I wish you and your family all the best and hope your mother's journey is as peaceful as it can be.

This was nice interpretation and arrangement ... I liked the chord changes to minor in this rendition vs the major chords as originally written. ... Also couldn't help but notice the Natalie Merchant style treatment the vocalist used. (Without the Merchant twirling thankfully.) Beautiful tone her voice. I would love to hear more.

lily kershaw to me and I'm sure to many others as well is one of the best, with her ability in controlling her vocal pitch seems to come without any effort,. and with that of her own style in not only this cover song, But with those of her own, her unique and great vocals the way she's able to place herself and those who listen in feeling each song she performs is something not many are able to do

I never liked John Denver much but this song always had something that grabbed me. You guys grabbed that something and put it front and center - this is a wonderfully soulful and evocative arrangement. Lily has amazing breath control in addition to a neat, slightly quirky sense of timing. Well done! Oh and I love that thing Ryan is playing the banjo with part of the time.
