All in all, a fun mod to do to your car that produces fun noises if anything lol

Good vid thanks for posting! I’m not an expert by any means but from the research I’ve done I think with mods like this, the power gains won’t be fully realized until a tune is done. Essentially you need to let the computer know it’s getting more airflow.

Even then air intakes don’t add hp. You can get similar results without them, but damn they sound fire.

I agree tune. There's a difference the stock reacted late. you could hear the intake suction like vacuum sucking through a wet paper towel ( tuned but stock) I got bms cai and bms intercooler the pedal is much lighter.

I have a new g70 with 11k kms and im wondering if this would void my warranty?

No it will not. Doing an aftermarket air filter and exhaust mod (as long as the primary cats remain untouched) are essentially the safest mods you can do on any car.

what year of G70 is yours?. Mine is 20my(2020year). i cut off driver’s side filter box a liitle at air inlet. did you put in box without any modification? i thought that product made for stinger.

Mine is a 2023 year model. The filters are made specifically for this year model, they fit perfectly, no issue.

The filters can be removed without needing to remove the entire housing. Hope that helps! They basically just unscrew from the filter box

Trust me on this, you don't want to install those air boxes a 2nd time. Those 4 screws are a pain in the ass.

When driving in eco or comfort you rarely hear it. But in sport mode it is definitely audible. You don't get the air noises unless the turbos are under boost, so that is why you mostly only hear them in sport mode. But yes, if driving in sport mode you for sure hear them.

I want to say it feels more responsive, but mainly you just get the added sounds... Maybe wait for it to go on sale, I bought mine for under $500, but the price jumps around. Normally they're like $600-$700. I wouldn't pay that much for them

No, air intakes won't void warranty. I've even taken my vehicle in to the dealership to have complimentary service and repairs done and they've never said anything about it

@@frankh257positive, I had a stinger and now a g70 and intakes wont void the warranty. Only thing that will really void the warranty are tunes. So if you get a tune make sure to take it off before you take it into the dealership for service

The air boxes are a royal pain in the ass to mount. Those four 10mm screws were a bitch. It would make it a bunch easier if I had a 10mm ratchet wrench and maybe even a 1/4" drive ratchet w/socket.

I had a friend help me install them who is a mechanic and had previously installed them on his car. Even still with his experience, took us close to three hours. They don't make new cars easy to mod these days

​​​@@HammysShowcase I've been basically a mechanic all my life, and I'm 50. Used to be an auto mechanic, diesel mechanic, now hvac. I work with tools every day. This was a pain in the ass! Lol. Took me 2-3 hrs. Everything was going good, until mounting those boxes with the screws. Lol. I feel like the manufacturer of the intake system could have made them easier to mount. Was thinking the box could be smaller and have tabs on the outside for the screws. That's how the oem was. Also, was 99 degrees out when I was doing it today. So that didn't help!

It's a fucked up feeling once ya get the 1st box done and on to the 2nd one, because you know what's coming! 30 more mins+ of fuckin with the thing. Haha
