This is a very versatile band. First they played a splendid concert performance worthy of a "gold" medal. Then they transformed into a fun-loving and animated entertaing band -very audience friendly. I liked the way the conductor introduced the various sections (instruments) of the band to the audience allowing each to perform short vignettes showing the audience their "voice' . The section half of concert was totally memorized and allowed the band members to show their complete personalities to the audience. yes it was "old school" USA covers but the audience and students certainly enjoyed this aspect of this fine band. Congrats to all-well done1

Year after year, this group of extremely talented musicians presents a quality and fun show. Playing some serious classics, as well a fun and contemporary favorites. I haven't heard or played Elsa's Procession in over 50 years, since my high school days, what a pleasure to remember what great piece it is, with an excellent French Horn part.Thank you I.L.B. for a quality video, and to the students and director for an excellent concert

Proof that these well-schooled musicians capable too perform all forms of music, and do it well. But I love it when they let their hair down and jam. And i must add.that if I had their band director I would have never missed a band class.

I saw a lot of videos of them. This line up is probably the best they ever had. Great musicians, great director, great choice of songs. Watching it now gives me mixed feelings. They still are so happy and without worries. Not knowing what came up in 2020. Not knowing their graduation would be so different than the ones who were celebrated before. Lets hope the world will soon be better again. Anyway it still is great to hear and see them play, sing and laugh. Stay strong and funky !!!

I truly like this band director for so many reasons but mainly because he makes the musical learning a thorough experience, exploring the many forms of music. And that is what learning music should be. An experience.

To be honest, it’s a pity to hear that TAKEFU & SEIKA were disqualified as a contestants for All Japan Brass Band Contest 2019. It’s a great fantastic moment for me to listen their lovely sound under the courtesy of “I LOVE BRASS”.

@A S Yes. How did you know? I have a number of High School Bands on my list. The Seika Girls are right there at the top. 😍 I used to hear this quality of music in my imagination not thinking it could ever be possible at this young of an age. To me, it is like a dream come true. I really don't know how to fully express it, without sounding like I am crazy. 😄
