Great analysis!! There was one part of the video that really caught my attention: At the end when you say "Marvin, if you're watching this, I wish you all the best." Marvin Yagoda is dead, so I think Tal might be speaking to anyone who's going through the same thing as the Marvin in the song. There was always something so... emotional to this song that i couldn't quite put my finger on, it felt hopeless the first time i heard it, it made me think of a world were happiness was nothing more than a mirage, a world where everyone followed the footsteps left by man, not even knowing how they were left there in the first place, it made me think of earth. This is a song about the world we live in. But then, i began to think more about it, somehow, despite what i had thought about it, it made me... happy, it seemed so irrational, being happy listening to a song about how happiness is a mirage, but that idea felt wrong as well, happiness isn't a mirage, of that i was certain, and this is a song about the world we live in. So I kept thinking about the lyrics, I kept living my life as well, doing my chores, and feeling happy doing them, this period of my life has definitely taken me for a ride, I have grown, I have helped others grow, I realized that it's those little moments of effort which make life happy, and I realized something I knew, but didn't comprehend from the very beggining: This is a song about the world we live in.

Nice video and an interesting take on the song! I always interpreted it as being a sad song about chasing that feeling of happiness doing many things like becoming the president of the USA as the most clear example from the song, and still not ever able to reach the happiness he is chasing till he finally is at the end of his life where he is about to find something but he is already gone. It’s always interesting to see how different people interpret the same song :D.

i think there is a meaning to crazy food, its about making music. Especially on the joe hawley joe hawley album due to its use of illegal samples. the food is representing all of these different samples, which is why the style of music varies. i get this theory from the line “handing ample-samples out to non-customers.” stuff after that tells how the musician is a “punk” and “thinks hes superman”. thinking he has created a masterpiece thats stolen. the reason in the music video why the musician is poor and has a finger girlfriend is because that person is poor, and a critic. instead of enjoying the music and going with the flow. He complains and nobody will hire him because they think he’s annoying and ignorant. which tells a lot about life on how you should deal with others, share your thoughts, and leave a like!

you should do spring and a storm next it was really fun for me to try and put together my theory for that song and i wanna see if you come to the same conclusion ill put my theories on the song under just incase you dont want outside opinion or whtv my interpretation is that its a story of a band making it in the music industry and their humble beginnings i also think this because i think mr moon is a version of the trope of getting mentored by someone who knows about the industry, most of the things he talks abt in his section can replace the sky with the industry and still make sense, like people losing themselves slowly (/dying) for whatevr the fans want. again just my interpretation but i think it fits quite well in a couple places of the song
