Very nice machine. Once you own machine with a hydraulic coupler you will never go back to a mechanical. It is hard to tell for sure but it doesn't look like there is any hose guard on your 2 coupler hoses that run from the block to the coupler. If there isn't I would recommend getting some on those asap.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Nate Warner yes I love the hydraulic coupler it’s so nice. That’s a great idea on the hose guard, I’m surprised it doesn’t have anything on them. Do I need the metal hose guards. Thanks again
@natewarner3925 жыл бұрын
Elite Earthworks LLC I would just use nylon hose guard on those. On my machine they seem to rub against the cylinder rod and bucket linkage as the rod becomes fully retracted with the bucket in the dump position. They don't rub anything very hard but over time it can become an issue.

Congrats on the 260, and you stumbled on a Great Truth; when a guy spends a lot of time on older, looser, semi-worn out equipment, getting into a new, tight machine makes the whole day a breeze. My '99 KX161 is fairly tight for it's age, but when I jumped into a new Gehl Z80 and JD160G last year to help friends out, my work looked above my actual skill level. Cutting/leveling grade and a level trench was a lot easier, more fine control, of course ergos and cab vis better. Finger actuated thumb control made brush clearing and moving objects so much easier/quicker than my foot control. At the end of the day, tho, my Kubota is still getting the job done and best of all, paid for, Tier 2 and I can work on the thing when I'm out in the sticks.

Congrats on the new excavator, excellent choice! I noticed you window tent all your equipment do you tent the front window and if so what percent tint did you use? Which percent also do use on the side windows in the back and can you see well out of them in the day? Can you see at night out of them too?
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
TX Excavation thank you! They are 40 percent with a ceramic film. It’s the same all around front and sides. No issues seeing at night either. Thanks again

What length trailer do you have ? And can you haul both your Excavator and skid steer at the same time?
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
T McQueen it’s 30’ total 20’ deck 5’ dovetail and 5’ tongue. The deck needs to be about 6’-8’ longer to fit both machines and for the weight to be right. The excavator is 13,000lbs and the loader is 12,200lbs

What is your opinion on case? I am on the fence between takeuchi or case/new Holland for a new skid.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Harris Farms case makes great machines. I had an 1840 before I got the tl250. It was a great machine never did anything to it
@clydeacor19115 жыл бұрын
Congratulations Brandon! I'm sure it's been frustrating waiting so long but now it's like a kid in a candy store! Since Case is the dealer for the coochies did you ever look into the new Case 60? I've seen a lot of their commercials and they look like a very innovative machine and has a very good warranty compared to many name brand machines.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Clyde Acor thank you! Yes it has but I’m glad it’s here now. The Cases are nice too and I think they offer a 3 year warranty too. I just like my machines to match 🙄🤣
@clydeacor19115 жыл бұрын
That's awesome that you get a 3 year warranty. Ya I've heard that Case had the 3 year 3,000 hour warranty too, I think most of the others only had like a 2,000 hour warranty the last time I checked. It's crazy that construction equipment only has a 2 to 3 thousand hour or 2 to 3 year warranty but farm tractors that get their guts worked out pulling heavy implements their whole life get a 5 year 5,000 hour warranty. And matching equipment does look nice. Isn't it about time to trade your little loader in now?? ;-)
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Clyde Acor yeah that’s what they have. And I agree it seems like it should be up there with the ag stuff. Lol maybe next year on the loader we will see

I can't keep track of all the no. on these machines. One of the diggers we have is a case cx 55 b , I think the 55 is metric weight. But weighs just over 12000 lbs.

I am looking to drop the hammer on one of these come spring. I realize you are just picking it up, but what drove you to this machine? Having compared this to all the others in this class, and it seems to be the top of the line in the class. I am really interested in service programs and parts. availability. Just picking your brain.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Gary Crumrine awesome you’ll love it! Yes I’ve ran bobcat, cat, case, John Deere a d Kubota but none of them compared to the Takeuchi’s in my opinion. The Takeuchi’s have the largest cabs both loaders and excavators. They seem to have the smoothest controls and are very well balanced machines. Also have the best visibility. Our case dealer in town was Takeuchi dealer but lost them at the end of the year. Now I have to drive about 45 mins away but it’s not bad. I’ve had great luck with them. My loader has 7500hours and still going strong. Only had a few minor repairs, battery, water pump and I just changed the pilot pump cause it was starting to make noise. I’ve very happy with my purchase and will always run Takeuchi
