On this note, definitely study the grammar and vocabulary of Modern Standard Arabic. When you’re ready to learn to really speak it, study Levantine-Arabic or shammy colloquially, because it is the most similar to MSA. This is the dialect spoken in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Iraq. I cannot wait for your future Jordan travel videos because you will fall in love with the country.

Two years later now I'm living in Jordan as an exchange student, learning Arabic all day. I'm absolutely in love with this language, it was the best decision of my life. I also agree that Arabic is not impossibly hard you just have to put a lot of effort and time into it. That moment when something clicks in your head and it suddenly all makes sense is so amazing!! I took Arabic classes (classical arabic) in university for 1 semester and I loved it. It wasn't that easy at first since the class was in English (its my second language). I used to stress a lot in those classes bc the big majority of the class already knew the basics. And in regards to the formal arabic, here in the Arabian peninsula, our language is quite similar to the formal arabic, and the words are exactly the same, however its just a different pronunciation for each tribe. DAMON! Thank you very much for this video. Sorry for the exclamation at the beginning; it was the only way I could express how excited I got to see you are learning Arabic. I am in the same process, learning Arabic with Duolingo XD once I save enough I'd like to get a tutor. It's a language that has enchanted me somehow. There's this sentence you've said I will take w/ me 4ever: 'I LEARN NEW LANGUAGES TO PUT MY OWN INTO PERSPECTIVE...'CAUSE THERE'RE OTHER WAYS TO FRAME REALITY' Thanks again, and keep trying new things
