First of all that was super interesting(lol), especially just seeing how you analyze the concepts compared to to how I see them. I love how you insist on not holding on to anything to not presume you figured out everything. But, there something you said, I tried to find it but can’t, you said about a certain philosopher: ok, but that’s not proof. But that’s what philosophy is about, the farthest your going to get is a paradox. I think we look to philosophy to try and find answers but the answers each of us will get are different, because we are different. The philosopher makes us question and that can spark an answer inside of me, some philosophers say there is a god some disagree, They just make you question your faith and existence on a deeper level. I believe the answers are within our selves, and even here it’s a paradox, because there’s is no answer. It all coexists at the same time. But in the end people choose a way to look at things cause it gives them comfort, even if it’s an extremely harmful comfort. The last thing I’ll say is that psychology and philosophy exist in our minds not in our feeling, it’s all about analyzing. The Buddhists believe if you can be quiet enough and excepting enough of yourself, you will find the truth, Your deepest emotions comes from your soul and your soul has all the answers. Maybe worth a read about it:)

My tip is spare pillowcase. You can stuff it with clothes on the plane and have a lumpy pillow and you can use it if you’re paranoid about airbnb bedding cleanliness ✨

Having existentialist traits whilst also Trying to get an education also be difficult because it’s so limiting to the potential I could personally produce. But I have to work around that.

I’m my opinion to truly solve self identity issues and illness like anxiety etc is to educate yourself about philosophy. Not self diagnose or go against what feels right. Just research philosophy- those who are passionate about it will be constantly growing beings always trying to do themselves good and in turn achieving harmony with others

AQA is an exam board here, and it looks like you picked up a GCSE Religious Studies revision book (GCSEs are the exams every 16 year old takes in around ten subjects at school). So not a scholarly, informative book but an easier basic overview - great! It sounds like you wanted a course *about* existentialism, whereas this was kind of a course of 'existentialism in action' - applying it in a therapeutic setting. Which could be helpful, considering much Philosophy is somewhat abstract and intellectual ('Is there a God?'). To 'therapise' your experience: it wasn't what you were expecting, but what did you learn and gain nevertheless? Or indeed, look at how much you did! Thank you for another great insight into the internal monologue of Damon Dominique :) xx
