Thank you for this. I'm looking forward to your replay here on the "Shaky Camera."

I might just have to rename the channel to shaky camera.

I really love the World at War 85 series and your review of that. I am really interested in the horror component of this and would love to see you do a short play through with that concept. Thanks!

I probably will. Not too much gaming time lately, but I want to play something with werewolves!

Flying Pig Games is a class act and my favorite company. Game quality is top notch. My favorite tactical series is OST. Platoon Commander Kursk another fine game. Crowbar a classic. Waiting for The Long Road & A Most Fearful Sacrifice to arrive via Kickstarter. You can't go wrong with Mark Walker. TY for this overview.

Thanks for the review, I'm not too hot on WW3 but had a look at Platoon Commander series in general, noticed there are no titles dealing with WW2 West Front / N Africa / Pacific - hope some will come out soon😁

The long running series over at Tiny Battle Publishing has always been modern themed: India Pakistan, Korea, with Sticks and Stones being first in the series. WW2 was an offshoot to see how it would look in a full sized game. I like it. Like anything else, the more people that pick it up, the more likely to see other theatres!

@@CounterProductiveGames Indeed, just noticed these are available in P&P version as well so I'll need to look up if there's a vassal module (I'm unlikely to play them in person). If there are, I'll probably buy one in the system to try it out - have a friend interested in modern/WW3 topics and I'm sure he'll want to give it a try :D

@@przemekbozek I haven't heard of a vassal module, but I do believe there is a TableTop Simulator version.

@@CounterProductiveGames Perfect, this one will work as well. Must admit I generally prefer vassal for wargames (usually easier to track various states coubter can be in as counter layers rather then separate markers) but will look up the modules available tonight to figure out which game(s) I want to pick up. Have you tried more in the series? Any recommendations where to start?

@@przemekbozek It seems like you enjoy WW2 more than Modern, I'd go with Kursk from Flying Pig Games. Mounted maps, larger counters and it's a great starting point. If you search my channel, you can find a video or two going over Kursk which may give you some more insight to help you make a decision.

Is the map the same scale as Armageddon War?

what company makes this green counter tray of yours? looks tight and sweet!
@CounterProductiveGames2 жыл бұрын
Its actually just the counter sheet. I simply affix cardstock to the back of the counter sheet and use that as the counter tray. Holds the counters just fine and saves space. I figured, if they can hold the counters in place during shipping around the world, I can use them to hold the counters when I'm not playing :)

Have you played World at War 85 to compare this with that?
@CounterProductiveGames2 жыл бұрын
Yes I have. If you do a search on the channel you'll find some videos I've done on it. They play very different. The engine was designed by the same person, but this is a more streamlined system. If you have specific questions, I may be able to answer them for you.
