D44 bumper and steering guard holds a winch and built tough

I noticed you have the vent flaps off. I got rid of the large rubber vent seals, which never seemed to fit well and went for the seals that stick to the flap. The ones I ordered for the 110 were to thick so re ordered britpart which fit well. I bought some rubber sleeving to go around the vent cut out to add a bit of depth and no leaks yet. Thanks for making the videos.

Silly money for nothing special, Devon 4x4 or Dixon fabrication are both cheaper, I bought the Terrafirma commercial bumper from LR 7 years ago, lives outside and used in all weathers, powder coat is near perfect and the welds are neat and tidy, good value for money, only thing I did was to waxoil the back of the bumper before fitting. Thanks for the honest review. 👍

Let me know when we need to develop this for a quarter of the price 😉 Seagull bumpers are out there 😁

I love that you've got the anti-lycra brigade bumper underneath (just visible under that new monstrosity). This is an invaluable piece of kit, as it stops the Lycra loonies using the Defender's great ground clearance to sneak underneath afternoon fermenting a traffic incident.

I feel like this is aimed at the ARB bumper buyers. I've never liked those or any overly chunky bumpers, maybe they're good if you're pushing cows around in the Aussie outback.

Well said. What drew me to land rovers was the basic finnish. So, another part designed to rust. It is a shame because you know it will look shabby after a few years. What would be more useful would be a bumper with a step platform that you won't slip off.

Thats a lot of money, but safety devices stuff is pricey, not worth 1k though i could have that made at my local fabrication place and powder coated for about 300

looks good, but personally I don't like the branding or logo on the product in general...that it's not needed as a good product will be easily recognized

I have to agree. Personally I wouldn't want the logo at all. I don't like it when manufacturers put logos on kit that you can't remove. And those tight angles will become a problem for tinworm. It's a thumbs down for me. Better priced items out there that do the job.

This looks like a fail! It is just a cosmetic and vastly over priced bumper, the powder coat looks like a disaster, easily marked for normal road use let alone off road, imagine what this will look like after just one green road drive, a very honest review! Chris B.

Waste of money. I got a D44 standard clubman lowline winch bumper which is made of 5mm steel, nicely coated, amazing attention to detail and properly tough, recovery eyes, and all for £260! I bashed it at the bottom of the bomb hole on strata and it hardly scratched.

Not impressed with the finish marking so easily, and as others have said wait until all those internal angles fill with mud. Not for me for the money they are asking.

Daft product. I’ll stick with my galvanised bumper which hopefully should last longer than the three powdered coated ones I’ve replaced over the years.
