I woke up having a panic attack, tears streaming down my face, and I asked God to please take it away. Take away the pain and the fear. Don’t take it personal when people take out their pain on you

They attack you and then expect you to apologize because it's your fault. After a while it makes you think it might actually be your fault because you're a bad person. I have a list of people I am seeking forgiveness from that will not take responsibility for hurting and controlling me yet I can't seem to have peace because I just want the peace that can only come through forgiveness. I do take responsibility for being a knucklehead at times but I just can't keep going through this with people!

True. But when someone "takes out their pain" on others (for whatever reason)...are they not causing pain to another person? Disregarding another by telling them not to " take it personal" is hardly an answer. Each situation is different. For those who choose to use their pain as a way to justify acting with hatred and malice, they should not be surprised if they are treated in like manner. Even if just rebuked. As Jesus did rebuke his adversaries..and at times even His Own. However, if one is truly a child of Yahweh then they Will be corrected by Him...if they are not, then they are bastards and not true sons and daughters of Christ. If one is in Christ then they should have self control..This does not mean they have to trust or even associate with someone who is continually causing them pain.

Just letting you know 1 year later … working night shift as a pediatric home care nurse, this message matters!! I grew up in church but had the faith of my parents and not my own, lost my youngest son to drowning 13 years ago and ran from the Lord. It’s been and up and down battle since then. Over the last couple of months our new business has struggled beyond belief and I was so so close to divorcing my husband because I selfishly thought he was supposed to make me happy….I was overwhelmed by stress on angles and then I was reminded only God can make my happy! On May 18th at 2:02 in the morning GOD WOKE ME UP!! I rededicated my life right there, just me and God. I know God has a purpose for all the pain and I know He wants to use my story for His glory. Satan has tried to tell me “Oh but your not ready yet. Wait a little while and make sure this sticks before you tell someone.” Right now in this moment I am refusing to believe this lie!!! When Jesus called the disciplines it says they immediately stopped what they were doing and followed Him. They didn’t wait till they were ready, God made them ready! I have struggled with fear and anxiety my whole life but I refuse to be controlled by it or what other people may think. I will never be good enough…but my God is and HE matters!! I never leave comments on KZbin pages, mostly because I know it’ll never been seen. However, this Sermon pulled my heart right outta my chest and pumped it back to life again. Theses last few years have been tough. Divorce, moving states, new job, single mom, in and out of horrible relationships. Saturday was my breaking point. Saturday was the day I finally lost all hope and tried to take my life. Luckily I wasn’t successful. Part of me feels like I didn’t take enough pills on purpose, knowing it wouldn’t be enough to take me out but at least enough to knock me out for some time. Waking up was hard. I’ve never felt so lost, confused, angry and sad in my whole life. Today wasn’t much better. Slept 90% of the day and when I was awake I just cried uncontrollably. I’ve been watching Furtick for over a year now but lately I’ve been skipping past his videos, just not wanting to hear all the “God talk” Today though, God left me no choice. I opened my app and this video started playing right away, without hesitation. I stopped and listened. Steven, thank you for what you do. It’s people like you who give people like us hope and strength to some how keep going. Thank you. Thank you for saving me. Thank you♥️

I am going through the hardest time in my life right now. A relationship I hoped would last a life time ended and I am praying that we will find each other again. I lost my sister and was so upset that I did not get home in time to say goodbye and my Son sent me this video to help me understand why. I focused so much on the anger and pain of not being there that I was feeling depressed. And after seeing this video I realized that I should rejoice that she is with God because HE called her home. She is not in any physical pain. My Son saw this and he led me to your video. It truly has made things so much clearer. Thank you.

Pastor, if you're reading this, I've been watching on my husband's computer, but I just feel like I gotta reach out with encouragement. Please keep humbly responding to God leading you and bringing His message, and just ignore (I know it's so hard) the offenses and the offenders. This is your confirmation that by obeying God you are reaching people where they need to be met. When you look around in the audience and you say "I don't know who this is for, but God wants me to tell you...", I'm yelling into my spirit "It's me!!" Everytime we check in, (we go to church, but sometimes have to be at home instead), it feels like God put it there for me. Like a pathway moving along the cyclical timeline of my life with God speaking into it one moment at a time. So please don't give in to discouragement. You are right that God is leading you and this is His ministry. You'll get the reward for obedience when it matters, when it's gonna be really good! 🙌 A little bit of story for your entertainment: there have been a number of traumas in my life, but God...and then I got married; we're a mixed marriage. He's black and I'm white, and I have never experienced so much that's been constantly in the way of functioning in basically every aspect of life, even as brutal as my coming up was. Every effort we engage in has been fraught with trouble and discouragement and tremendous difficulty. Every one! It is so common, it's almost comical! I had begun to wonder if God really blessed our marriage, or if I had missed a sifting and we got married when I was meant to have chosen God alone. (I LOVED being alone with God, and had no desire for kids, and not a ton of desire for a relationship historically. Like if it wasn't going to be amazing and be a blessing God could use mightily, it wasn't worth it to me, so I was fully prepared to be alone.) After watching a few sermons today, shedding my tears and feeling led (I guess God was ready to do a thing; He must have heard me in the 'wine-press😅) I asked God for a new question. He had it ready right there for me. "Who do I serve?" WHO DO I SERVE?!!! I have dealt with rejection my whole life. Instead of letting it prepare me for the universal rejection of being in a mixed-race marriage, I had let it make me sensitive to rejection, to the point that in our extreme and constant hardships, from outside and in, I felt rejected by God. I heard another teacher talk about rejection once when they mentioned a man who had struggled with rejection and God told him "You're not going to get it. That (acceptance) is such a toxic thing for you, that I'm going to withhold that from you until you're immune to it" (paraphrase) The truth that the question God had ready for me revealed that I was trying to seek comfort (my youth was uncomfortable in the extreme, and I live with a number of scars, so long discomforts can be triggering) and serve people, though I thought I was doing it in the name of God. Really I was just asking the wrong question, putting the emphasis of my effort on the wrong outcomes, trying to create outcomes by working harder and humbling myself to the circumstances instead of 1) surrender to God's leadership, 2) walking through the hard things remembering to keep by His side, 3) keeping my eyes on Him instead of my circumstances, and 4) rebuking the enemy trying to talk me into backing away from where God was leading me. I nearly gave in. I have been ready to quit a number of times, really believing that staying together was doing more damage than living apart could. My new question is giving me a better viewpoint for this life. Who am I doing this for? If I am living this life for God, then I better start listening and obeying in this circumstance, instead of worrying so much about the human feedback, or what people think of our house, or our family. And if I am serving myself, I'm not doing a very good job. Can't do both. So instead of ignoring the voice in my spirit telling me to follow God's leading, I am ignoring the, often well-meaning, voices on the outside telling me I don't belong with this man, that I don't deserve my children, that I don't have the right perspective. And I am yelling in the face of the one standing in my doorway to get out of the way in the name of Jesus! Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I needed help. You spoke obediently and because of that, I got some of the help that I needed. Your hardship is bearing fruit in my life too. Please thank Holly for never giving up encouraging you too. It takes a team. I pray God bless and protect your family.

Praying that my son who is transitioning to be a woman hears this message to know he has a unique and powerful message of Jesus' love to bring to those in the LGBTQ community, that so many gospel followers are currently and will continue to speak life over him not death; that he is in control of his choices and he doesn't have to feel powerless as he deals with the pain of his upbringing. Christians need to do more reading and study before concluding that the first notion that pops into our head when we read Romans 1 is infallibly correct. Sometimes, the first thing we think when we read a verse of scripture is wrong. That is why we are encouraged to "Study to shew yourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15 ( In other words Do not quote Romans to be condemning until you study and know the cultural meaning behind the history of the text. What works for me. Is , I'm with my Best friend Jesus. We have a number of places we go. Serena, peaceful places. Now you have to pick one or two. Go there with Him and just relax,close your eyes. You find yourself thinking, go right back to the same place with Jesus. It's like anything else we have to do in life practice,. practice, practice May you be blessed with sleep. Luv ya,. Julie🛌
