From one hunter to another, what you’re doing here is very commendable. If you’re looking to add another tool to your arsenal for dealing with those pesky bots in the southernmost part of Tanaris (03:23), consider picking up the Hook of the Master Angler from the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Extravaganza event. Its ultra-short cooldown allows you to kite mobs over water. I can vouch for this-I recently kited Teremus the Devourer to Yojamba Island for some extra fun during buff time. Hope this helps!

When i played hunter back in the day i had a macro that made my pet use its skills cuz some dude that made a guide said that pets are slow to use the skills, do disable them and make a macro with /bite /claw /something /petattack and so on, like that bot do :)

I agree that it's pretty obvious to tell who's a bot just by watching, but I don't think "they do the same minimal thing each pull" is a legit justifier. Players learn when level grinding that mana conservation plays a big part in reducing downtime between pulls. This is why you see priests opening with spells then wanding the rest of the time. The hunter could be using other abilities but that just means less or no mana for the next pull or having to drink between pulls.

Just for reference, i did spent 3 hours at level 44 or something at tjat exsct location as a troll hunter in hardcore. You need A LOT of turtle scales for a leatherworking quest. So i went farm mode on the beach cos the Horde quest for this is in Feralas, and so the beach st Tanaris is the closest place to Feralas with the best scale droprate. Just thought I'd mention. If you saw me in those 3 hours you'd have just thought i was a bot cos i was running up and down the coast just killing turtles

Trust me, I can tell within literally 2 seconds if you are a bot or a real player. Even if you tried your best, you won't succeed looking like a bot. I will never kill you or kill another legitimate player. EVER!

The bot literally presses '/pet attack' every 2 seconds while engaging a mob. Imagine if Blizzard tracked player interactions: a simple plot diagram could reveal the outliers, and they'd stand out instantly. With 1,000 clicks per minute farming turtles, it’s pretty clear that's not a real player.

Anyone who is arguing about "it is too hard to find and ban them", is braindead and just repeats stupid shit they read before in the hopes of sounding knowledgeable Just as you said, there are so many easy ways to implement a bot protection. I macro pet attack to some abilities because it lets me control the pet better without extra hotkeys for pet attack or clicking pet attack. I know a few veteran hunters who do that as well. However, yes that could be a sign of a bot as well.

Many hunters do macro pet attack to their abilties, so they don't have to use 2 commands to attack and also make the pet attack. This way you can just like arcane shot and your pet will artack automatically. What you're looking at here is definitely a bot, but dont mistake some play patterns for bots
