Always leave the lift engine at near full revs when in use! No need to lower it until your stopped. That's how the skirt gets torn up.

Hi I am a Hovercraft owner of many years. Just wanted to point a couple things out to you for your safety in case you might not of heard. 1. Never go across a piece of land or beach do you have not previously carefully looked at to make sure there are no dips in the ground, or Rivulets Where water has run down through the sand. A 3 inch deep by 3 foot wide deep in the sand could cause you to lose your skirt pressure and the craft will hit the ground throwing all the occupants forward and causing major injury. I am a paramedic so I am well aware of these risks. 2) the place it took you five minutes to go in a hovercraft might take search rescue a long time to get to you to help you in an emergency. 3) . You may travel up a piece of water that no other craft goes up. Somebody may have strong a line or a cable across that water thinking nobody will ever come up there at speed and get hurt. Cables and lines are hard to see when you are moving on a hovercraft. You may go around the back of a piling and there is a cable there that you didn’t see. Also a piece of rebar, or sharp stick may be sticking out of the water and it is dark and hard to see. Please be aware of these three dangers of Hovercrafting . The hover craft is really really being experimented with in the US military, there are new hover crafts cable of carrying Abrams Tanks to shores, it’s the ONLY vehicle on earth capable of taking a Main Battle Tank and transporting in on ice, snow, sand, mud; water, asphalt, any jars surface and H2o base and transport with ease , no strain on drive trane an anything else, something that’s been around for SO long is bieng looked at by Skunkworks, Ratheon, the US Marine Corps. the Army and Navy! It’s a simple concept that’s so relatively easy to build, it’s no $130M jet, it’s a 50 year old concept using fans and engines of any power! Tellin ya cleetus, this is getting bigger keep HC in the channel.

That thing is so Rad! I also bought a personal hovercraft made by Hovpod last year and took it out on it's maiden flight a couple days ago. I chickened out when I got it on the water and didn't realize that I needed it to get out the hump. I just didn't want to get stuck out there so made a B line right back to the boat ramp. Watched some videos when I got home and now with more knowledge, I think I'm ready. You've got big enough property, don't sell it. Keep it!

Just a reminder that you need to MAKE SURE the trailer is LEVEL when loading/unloading the craft! There are plenty of examples on YT of tracked vehicles sliding sideways, and off, trailers and the hovercraft has NO lateral grip in the first place! Oh, and if there's a wind, try and align the trailer into the wind, so it doesn't get blown off the side! When Cletus, a guy who has almost all his cars running NO mufflers whatsoever, says it's loud, it's LOUD!!! Other than that, looks like y'all had a lot of fun - and the thrust prop' should have given a nice cooling breeze, too!

And next time hopefully you gotta know what the trim flap (on the top of the side rudders) is for. If you lower the trim you raise the rear, which will allow more air to flow out of the back and give you even more speed. Raising the trim flap will lower the back, which gives you more control for cornering. Keep it on! Hell yeah, brother! 🤘

The light you need blinking is the yellow hovercraft flasher. Just make sure it's the right blink rate (120 flashes or more per minute): don't want somebody mistaking you for a nuclear submarine ( one flash per second for 3 sec followed by 3 sec off and technically "amber" color) ...

She is badass. As for the lights, the flashing light is required by Coast Guard Regulations. When in hover displacement mode, it should be flashing, as it is technically an airplane. It’s an indication to others that you can’t maneuver as well as others and they should keep clear of you.
