Should keep the tundra stockish and as the reliable driver/family hauler. Build the crap out of the third gen taco, sas one tons etc, and use that as the reliable off roader. Dump the old taco. Sell the ford, use that money to build the two tacos, both reliable for its intended purpose. That’s what I’d do.

Good vlog....You didn't change my attitude since last time I commented about the Tundra. Great truck to pull your boat, camper or trailer but to damn big for most of the trails your group rides in... unless ya stick another 10 -20k onto the 60k base price. Stick the money into the Tacoma! Good luck! P.S. Good seeing your family in a vlog again!

Great content, I love the new changes in the tundra I just hate the normal thing now that models with a 4x4 badge aren’t meant to be 4x4. What I mean is it has terrible ground clearance and that bumper got caught, it should come with aftermarket bumpers as an option. Yes you can always go aftermarket but it’s nice to get something from the dealer and go off-road that fits everything that needs to be addressed for off-roading and not worry about going aftermarket. I guess we’ll wait till 2050 for the new tundra

Well thanks for the long vid of offloading with very little footage of the Tundra, except when you damaged it. Looks like all the other vehicles where modified. That's been my issue with Toyota for a while now. Their 'offroad' factory vehicles have serious clearance issues until you start to mod. Ford has the Raptor, Bronco Squatch (and soon Braptor), Chevy the ZR2/Bison, Jeep is Jeep but the Gladiator Rubi is pretty good stock too. I love Toyota but they're really falling behind when it comes to factory offroaders.

@@bigslacker666 nope I’ll write it off to poor designers/engineers. I drove a 2021 4Runner SR5 or what ever that is. Drove it for a week and it was the worst car I’ve ever drove, good thing it was a rental. No get up and go, interior was garbage and just horrible handling.
@bigslacker6662 жыл бұрын
@@BigDaddysPlati They handle much better once you rip out the stock suspension and replace it with something halfway decent. That gets back to the original point though. Sad thing about the power, it actually does have some but that ancient 5 speed tranny they've tried to program for MPG really holds it back. It'll pull if you step on it, but it has to kick down to 2nd gear and that's super annoying if you live in the mountains like me. I traded it for a Raptor, no issues anymore with comfort, tech or power. ;)

Toyota just keeps making these plastic bumpers bigger and bigger and holy crap is there so many filler and trim panels. It's almost impossible to trim for tire clearance as one panel connects to another and all ties into the inner splash shield. If you trim too much you end up with an unsupported panel that rattles like crazy or looks like shit. Someone at TRD should tell the engineers to put the pencil down.
