YES BEN YES YES YES!!!! Considered as one of the best debut songs EVER, the impact of this song is timeless that people of South Korea use this in protests because of its encouraging message. This song is also one of the harder ones to cover LIVE, and still, only SNSD were able to sing this live with stable and strong vocals while doing the intense choreography.

This song is a treasure! It's so good and at the time groundbreaking because at the time, the few girl groups that were out there debuted with a song that was about love and having a crush on someone. This song is about wanting change and a better future. wanting to see you and the people you love achieve their dreams. This is known for being extremely difficult to sing live and the choreography is extremely challenging. You should check out the ballad version, that one puts me in tears immediately.

Thank you for making me realize the meaning of this MV. The MV is actually telling us about each girls trying hard to reach they dream, BUT I never realized that the Taeyeon and Sooyoung's part was telling us that they are FLYING into the new world with Taeyeon as the PILOT. Do you get it? Taeyeon is the LEADER of SNSD so that is why she is the one who fly the plane. Dang, I'm 13 years late mindblown right now. :O

This is a debut song (so not retro, just old), and as with many of SM's debut songs they actually address something deeper. Fun fact : M.I.L.K was supposed to sing this song but they disbanded, so it was given to Girls' Generation as their debut song. Remix version of Into The New World actually the original version of the song. You can check it as Girls' Generation had performed the it once..

This was their first single...you should watch the ballad version from the Japan tour-I mentioned it on another video, they have only performed the ballad version since Jessica left the group. The one where they wear the bows in the Japan Dome is very touching as they cry...Sunny especially. The most tracks for me left would be Run Devil Run, Catch Me If You Can, and the much loved Japanese Bside performance of Karma Butterfly (the 1st tour version w/ Jessica is the superior version in my opinion.)

@@BirbReacts no problem. The new world is the world that will be there as they advance into the future. They are each developing and advancng. Maturing. The song is inviting some guy to make the journey into an uncertain future with them. Not all of them for the same guy. Songs like this the group is to be thought of as speaking the message of one person. The thing that gets me most about this video is that Taeyeon really flew that airplane. She was little more than just a kid and already could solo pilot an airplane. The Girl's Day song Mina has hired a detective because her guy is cheating on her. That's why the camera. To get the proof so she can get a lot of money out of him.

I always thought of it as them doing whatever they were passionate about. And that ranges from the stereotypically feminine (ballet, barista) to the stereotypically masculine (fixing and flying a plane, reworking your own motorcycle/scooter, spray painting a mural, breakdancing) and everything in between. Theres a reason its commonly sung at pride day parades and student protests. The video is very much about not accepting what you're told to do and just being who you are. Its ok to be girly. Its ok to be boyish. Who cares?
