I have been struggling lately with feelings of wanting to remove my hijab, so I wanted to talk about what's been going on and also compare these thoughts to the last time I felt this way when I actually did go ahead and stop wearing it.
So whether you want to take it off, already took it off, or are simply struggling with impulsive thoughts of taking it off, this video is for you!

I m a Muslim revert from Italy. I worked in the fashion industry for YEARS. I have been on cover magazine and I did lingerie fashion show. Since September 2023 I have been wearing hijab. I have never, NEVER, felt as free as now. Wearing the hijab is the best decision in my life after reverting to Islam I pray to Allah that I will keep my hijab on for the rest of my life InshAllah!!! ❤

(The word HIJAB is used in the Quran but NOT for ladies.) It’s:- KHIMARs over the JAYBs (in Quran 24.31) the importance in the verse is about: “Coverings over the JAYBs” KHIMAR just means COVERING (in the Quran24.31) Why do they need history and lots of explanations to add concepts to KHIMAR? They know it is a simple straightforward word meaning COVERING. Notice how they explain by saying- “it is already ASSUMED that it was on the head” ALLAH does not assume - all the commands for the foundation of rules are very clear for guidance - if you have to assume then understand the rule is not from Almighty Allah. - the prefix head, hair added to the word Khimar are all derived from sources written centuries after the Prophet (pbuh) without any authorisation given to these writers by the Prophet (pbuh) (or the Companions) to use their names to write those narrations (Not possible as these writers lived about 200 years later and collected information from what people were talking in a much much later era) - which includes daeef Hadith (not authentic narratives ) If they show it to you in their Dictionary THEN please check when that dictionary was written. We should not accept new meanings to the words after the word is used in the Quran - in the present era the meanings can be understood by checking the same word usage within the Quran - see where the word is used again. QURAN is it’s own DICTIONARY within it - (by using the important words in other verses and locking the meanings). Example : when the same root word is used for khumr/intoxicants even then it’s used for “COVER” - - any KHUMR /- intoxicant or alcohol COVERS the ABILITY of the mind from inside. Please NOTE : khumr /intoxicants/ALCOHOL does NOT cover the HAIR or HEAD from outside.

As salaam alaykum Beloved sisters. We hear you. When we get these kinds of thought calling us to disobey Allah, we first seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan. Then we do the opposite. For instance if Shaytan is inviting us to backbite someone we praise the person instead or we simply remain silent. For every struggle in the way of Allah there immense reward. If we think about signing and refrain from it we get rewarded for that. Wa alhamdulillah. Insha Allah we need to be proactive and strategic to get closer to Allah. What we want is the Gaze of Allah upon us. We get shy hat Allah sees us doing other than his command. Lastly, make abondant duabfor fortitude andb. steadfastness. We should do our best to follow the Palestinians with their immense patience. This life is test as we know. Struggling is normal. As long as we have remedies for what ail us, we will be fine insha Allah.

We need to remember sometimes that voice in our head is not us a lot of the time, it’s shaytan. When you know that, it will give you comfort knowing that those thoughts are not purely from yourself or your weak iman. You can still love hijab or niqab and still get waswas from shaytan throughout your journey. That’s what our life is, fighting our demons, and showing who is stronger. I pray makes it all easier for all us fellow Muslimahs and instills love of modesty in the hearts and keeps us steadfast. 🤍

I love this new wave of muslimeen who are normalizing difficulty with hijab in a healthy way. Not to say we should normalize not wearing hijab but acknowledging that it's challenging and validating our experiences as hijabis is so important. The community hate is the reason so many women don't wear hijab or take it off so the acceptance and acknowledgment is exactly what's needed to encourage sisters and create a safe space.

Thank you so much for making this video. I couldn’t relate more with what you’re saying and going through. I thought I was alone in the struggles and frustrations and getting those negative intrusive thoughts. I recently became a hijabi a month ago right after ramadan. I didn’t want to let go of the tranquility and bliss of Ramadan. I fell in love with it and modesty and what it represents. This is such a good reminder that this change in lifestyle is a process of ups and downs. That the ups and downs are normal. Inshallah we will have the strength and courage to keep choosing our hijabs every day. It’s a relief to hear that others are experiencing this too. ❤

Asalaam, just stumble on your channel. I am born in a family where we are not hijabi. My grandma only started permanently wearing a scarf after hajj. In Islam intention is important. Yes we are ordered to cover but if your heart is not it then it is pointless. So while it is compulsory, it is also requires the heart. Hence why I have yet to wear hijab permanently. Intentions are very important in Islam. Like I was taught as a child, you can wear hijab but at the back you are sinning more than a person not wearing one. Insha allah, you keep up with Islam. I am someone who wore mini skirts and sleeveless but as I grew up all started to go away, I mostly cover myself now. So it is all about growing hence why in my family, we are not harsh. We tell you the right and wrong and along the way we decide as we are growing up. I like listening to reverts, they mostly cause us born muslims to re-evaluate where we are. Insha allah, your path will be easy.

I'm a revert an wore the hijab now 10 years... last years i struggeled so much.. last year i was about to take it off but i pushed myself to keep it on, at the end i covered even more and mainly wore abayas... last month i had a misscarriage while 3 of my cousins are currently pregnant.. this takes up all my strengh right now and 6 days ago i removed the hijab 😭 i feel so sad.. at the same time i can not deal with the judgement from family and society towards hijab right now. I pray i soon gain strengh back to wear the hijab again... i never thought i'd ever take it off 💔😭😭

I wonder about something else other than being around people, protecting yourself from the eyes of others, and controlling your own self. I love the wind in my hair and the way my skin comes into contact with it when I get into the water. It seems very disturbing to me to be deprived of these except in private areas. What do you think about this and similar situations?

@@natashaa_michelle Rather than nudity by the pool, I meant on a wide beach (with a more covered swimsuit), or while cycling, doing sports, or against a view, in larger but still most areas where there are people. Especially in city life, it is difficult to find a private place, there is not even a place where I can sunbathe for vitamin D for my health, even on my own balcony. But I understand what you mean, thank you. Keep inspiring. 💫

Yes I had a very weird relationship with hijab in the beginning. Even now! Just try your best and make dua for guidance and strength. Sometimes I wore hijab even when I didn’t want to or if I didn’t like the way I looked. I think it’s like makeup, whenever you stop you don’t recognize yourself in the mirror. It takes getting used to so I think hijab is the same. It just takes getting used to

absolutely resonates, although I didn't want to take off my hijab. still sometimes I miss the times when I wasn't getting any negativity from people, because I wasn't a hijabi. I started to wear it at 29 y.o., 5 years ago. but I never wanted to take it off, because I never saw the problem in hijab, instead it's the disease of those people's hearts. I am proud of being hijabi, like really really proud, those people have no idea 😀 the funny thing is that non-muslims say that muslim women are oppresed because of wearing hijab, and they are right, but the oppressors are themselves, not muslim men how they would think it to be 😀 the worst oppression I faced was from my in-laws, who are islamophobic. never ever I felt any oppression from my own family members who are muslims, they were always supportive whatever I would do. they would just explain if I would do something wrong, and that's it. but with non-muslims.. OMG! I have experienced all sorts of humiliations, from silent treatment, boycotting, humiliating, slandering etc. I know that they do it to manipulate us, and sometimes I would get anxiety from their manupulation, but in the end I know that the problem is in them, they are the ones who should change themselves, not me.

Sister don’t expose ur sin or repost those pics even if u black them out. And if they are still online try to delete them. Don’t let the shaytan get to y’all abt taking it off. And remember we get our sins expiated whenever we feel as a prick of a thorn. So remember the sadness and hurt u feel is the reason some of ur sins are expiated. “Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that." Sahih al-Bukhari 5641, 5642 Also ppl seeing u as a Muslim is a good thing. We should be proud abt it. Being a Muslim is our identity

I understand the impulse to judge her and that comes with social media. But being harsh towards people is not the sunnah. Yes the Khimar predates Islam and is part of all religions. Modesty is part of worship for men and women. The Muslim is theocentric thus every single thing in our lives is worship. We are on this earth to worship , and submit to Our Creator.?The real problem is here and with many is the gaze of others. Once we understand why we are doing it, simply out of seeking Divine pleasure. It becomes easier. I pray that we are granted the understanding and strength to live our lives while fulfilling our potential and reach our goals as believers. As said :” This life is just a moment, live it in obedience.
