Great walk! Thanks to Haz and this chanell my dog (mix Polish Hunting Dog) have much less stress, because I'm more clear for him and more calm. I finally realized and understood "genetic" and I chilled out - I can't be mad at the dog because he is what he is. I've started to manage more and be more consistent and I've stoped to be affraid of plaing in a rough way with my crazy dog. He is off leash every day, besides the roads and in vincity of the cars. I don't use an ecollar, because I think I'm not educated enough now. Actually this dog makes me to interest in dog training, because he want so much to do things with a handler, but also love chase animals, cats, love tracking animals if you don't prepare something, and love bitches during heat. So I had to learn a lot quickly and I'm still learning to keep him free and happy and safe. It is also fun for me. Thank you for your job and good will and best regards from Poland for Carlson. His dog remembered me when my dog found some fish throwen away by fishers, and ate it, growling at me... He also got some "dog" inside, that is way I like so much your content.

So many awesome things happening in this video! Showing high level sport dogs with functional ob is the first! I hate people that have sport dogs and claim they can’t/should not have functional “pet” ob, it never made any sense to me. Also, proving one of the most important things about e collar. It’s not a crutch, it’s a training aid. Once a dog is fully trained on it you shouldn’t need to hold it and press buttons every gd second, constantly nagging at the dog. If that’s the case, then the dog is not trained to be reliable lol. But, it is a nice tool to have in case there’s really big competing motivators around, like the slice of pizza on the ground that made Carson’s dog break position. Love that you kept that clip in there, some have too big of an ego to show that their dog is in fact an animal capable of making mistakes. I’m pretty positive that if his dog didn’t have an e collar on, Carson would still have been able to make the dog drop it and reinforce the correct behavior. E collar is just one of many “delivery systems” but it certainly is not what makes the training, that is always on the handler. Case in point, Carson was also rewarding his dog for good behavior 😂 This video really showcased how dogs that are reliable don’t need incessant feedback positive or negative, yet they are alway learning, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee on a walk without much worry and very nonchalantly remind your dog what the outcomes for both good and bad behavior are 🤷🏼‍♀️

Laughed out loud many times when watching this video.😂 My 4 year old intact, high drive male Malinios, is E collar trained, therefore I work him off leash all the time. What pisses me off is these idiots with their dog off leash that have no recall whatsoever. They do not understand the level of control that I have to have over my dog, so he doesn't kick their dogs ass, as it aggressively rushes us, usually growling. My dogs neutrality to other dogs/people, is something that pet dog people don't understand. Thanks for explaining it, Haz! Neutrality is also something that I have to maintain, after multiple reactive dogs coming at him. Luckily its usually, its maybe a correction once a year or 24 months, once does the trick. That was something that I learned from Haz. Thank you, Haz!!!!🎉

The comments are wild. What a bunch of weirdos. I took my dogs out for a run today. Not sure how cold you guys are up there, but It was 10 degrees here (in Freedom units) and they loved it. Also, I encourage everyone to read their municipal leash laws. Rarely have I encountered one that specifies an actual physical tether. Most just say "be in control." Even the signs that say "dogs must be leashed" have very little enforceability if the dogs are not a disturbance.

Hi, I am from Belgium . I don't do sports with my 22months young German shepherd intact male. But I do walk and play with him off leash every single day. I actually don't live in the city. He is free to run , sniff , do all his dog stuff, but I do play with him all the time during every walk.Every play is at the same time an excercise. He is not gonna chase other dogs, cats,....anymore . He obeys me from wathever distance, every sit, stay or down command in the blink of an eye. And....if I allow him and another dogowner allows it....he will play and be friendly with another dog. But he will come back to me out of that play, the instant I recall him to me. He loves meeting other people and is friendly, again only if I allow him and if the person is comfortable with it. I wont allow people to touch him unless asked. I trained him one to one in an off leash training with a reputable Belgian trainer. I do use an e-collar, but I only allowed myself to start using the e-collar after I was trained how to work with it. My shepherd one year ago at 1 year old, was always taken away from other dogs at the city dogshool, because he couldnt handle his excitement around other dogs. We couldn't train with the others. He went crazy. less then 6 months later after the private off leash course, he is one of the best behaved, happy and stable dogs one could wish and I can train off leash in a confident way with other dogs around him, even if he has to sit 20m away from me. And by the way...after we really became a team. I rarely have to use the e-collar ever. Our connection is primarely founded on play. But I keep saying that an e-collar is the only efficient way to train a dog off leash, it is not harsh or cruel. And it allows any dog ( my shepherd, as I explained was not an easy one in the beginning) to enjoy his live without a cord strapped to his neck. In Belgian e-collars will be banned from 2027. Sad. It is also forbidden to have a dog off leash, so I do risk a fine...But where I live it is not the city, so I do not worry to much

I'm laughing so hard 😂 so pro you guys struggling with a simple walk 🤣 PS, nerd fact: eating snow as a source of hydration is actually a myth 😬 it actually does the OPPOSITE of hydrate 😂 "Eating snow is not the same as consuming water because snow is a solid that must melt before it becomes a fluid. Cells and organs in the body need water to be in a liquid state, so the body must work to heat and melt the snow once it is eaten. Because the organs must work harder to heat the ice and melt it, you will become further dehydrated rather than hydrated." So I would not rely on the snow & still bring/find water 🙃

I know the dogs are impeccably trained but in the city I am in we have leash laws. I find it amazing those shots of off leash in town. I have had someone say something when my dog is in my front yard off leash, he is not as good as yours of course but he does not leave the yard unless I allow it. I just said sorry opened my door and let him in, he is also a GSD/Husky and pretty tall boy so I know some people see him in a yard and have a different reaction than a small dog. With the leash law here e collar doesn't count.

Not everyone is comfortable talking on camera, and some people are just not big talkers. Doesn't take away from their personality. Carson has assisted Haz in many instances, including the last National and World. He also has a good, well-timed sense of humor. Bottom line: why talk the way you do about someone you don't even know?

Personally, I thought Carsen was a perfect companion for this type of walk, he has a dry wit & fun personality, casual, down to earth, relaxed, easy going & with an awesome dog. Seriously, I think you have a problem - why critise someone you don't even know
