I remember when we started doing the ADSOM thing, there was almost this moment, when shooting the "eye out" scene where Rain & I were like "EVERYONE CLEAR THE AREA SO KELSEY CAN BE COMFORTABLE!!!" to now it's just like "plop... out, it's a part of me". You've come a long way.

This is such an important video! I just lost my eye to cancer about 2 weeks ago so i’ve been doing my research and watching videos of people’s stories. I was afraid of this change becoming a new insecurity to deal with but seeing other people with the same disability as me look absolutely beautiful and badass has made me look forward to my new life. so THANK YOU!! thank you so much for posting your story. i know it must have been a difficult journey to get to where you are now and i am insanely proud!! .) 💜

I’ve been watching you for so long, and it makes my heart so happy that you’ve grown to be so comfortable with acknowledging that it’s a part of you. I don’t think it inherently affects who you are - I feel as though you’d be just as radiant and lovely regardless of your disability. I don’t know if it’s appropriate to be so proud of someone who is older and technically a stranger, BUT I AM SO PROUD AND HAPPY FOR YOU! Much love, I can’t wait to see more from you Kelsey! 🌷

Hey, can I just say how awesome you are? Just for like being. I love your aura, like it's all positive vibes. Also, as someone who does have lazy eye it was a big moment for me when I first saw you on The Black Sister fanfilm. I know you don't have the same thing but it was kinda like the only thing I ever saw of someone looking like me who was just absolutely killing it because I have struggled sm with this thing and still do. There are countless days when I can't even look in the mirror. But seeing you in the film was a big thing for me cuz it had nothing to do with that particular thing. You were just being awesome like you are. And I think it's really necessary for people to have that kind of space where they can just be appreciated for their art regardless of these minor things.

Hi Kelsey, I love it. But I may be bias, cause I m just like you, same eye. Mine was taken out due to engorgement of blood vessels. I was born with congenital glaucoma, so I never had sight in my right eye. And after 58 years of dealing with the high off the chart pressure in that blind eye I just elected to have it removed. The prosthetic is so good no one nevers suspect anything when they look at me. But I have recently lost mine and I’m hoping my insurance will pay for a replacement. But it’s like you said, I feel kind of special without it actually. I have noticed though that many people will kinda have more patience when dealing with me, and seem to be kinder. But hey, thats cool too! 😊👍 it took me over a decade to get the courage to finally do it , because I had heard of a situation called sympathetic eye syndrome , witch can cause lost of your only good eye as well. But the. 😢I read that more likely 😢 to happen I someone loses his eye in an accident And oh yes, you are gorgeous!

I just watched The Apocalypse Killer and loved it and loved your character. My first time seeing your short film and did notice your eye at the end. I have a friend who has an eye disorder that made her blind in one eye and partial in the other and her younger sister is completely blind with light perception. So I was curious about who you were, more because I loved the short horror film. Thank you for sharing and it does take strength and love for yourself, to be able to do this. I too live with a disability that is progressive and has to do with tumours (I don't want to say exactly what it is) and in fact, I got breast cancer from it and went through treatment in 2016. So far (hooray) I am still in remission. I still find it very hard to accept myself and love myself because of it. Your cat is so cute. I have a cat named Oscar. I toilet trained him and he can give you a high five and shake a paw. 🌺🌼🌸🌹🌻🌷💮💐
