Taking the Can Am Spyder modified for wheelchair to the carwash

A Spyder F3-S is absolutely fantastic. I drive a Spyder RT Ltd. myself and have had a lower leg amputation. And I know a few people who are also paraplegic. It's just fantastic what possibilities the Spyder offers... I wish you safe journeys at all times!!! Best wishes from Germany!

Very cool. That's got to be close to the perfect vehicle for a wheelchair user who doesn't want to be in a car. I wonder if they sold many with that modification?

Thanks and yes, I believe it's a very functional modification without affecting the esthetics too much. It does require some arm strength but the wheelchair frame is very light. I haven't seen a similar to this date!

Where did you got the hand brakes?

At first with ISCI SPYDER 20 Forest Hills Dr. Montgomery Al 36109 [phone] They have done many Spyders. But unfortunately ISCI is not approved in the Netherlands (not enough braking power according to the DUTCH testing authorities), so secondly I had it done with a local authorized specialist in the Netherlands

@@jaspertouw8103, do you have two braking handles? One on the left side and one on the right side?

@@orjanbern4766 One handle on the right side with plenty of power, and an additional emergency handbrake on the left side, just in case, using the parking brake that is sacrificed, so limited braking power on that one. But needed to follow Dutch regulations of course.
