Whoever has a problem watching the farmer grade videos, like you said "dont watch em" 😂😂 its that simple. Farming is a lot more than showing live animals and grain. Its start to finish and the speed bumps along the way. Keep doing what you do, at least you're doing something vs doing nothing like a lot of these keyboard warriors 😂😂 have a great day!!

One thing that may be a consideration. Going to a black back with white lettering, can cost more the ink and what I have seen, when the label is on a product that gets frozen after packaging and then the product is thawed the inch runs.

Since you show several family members on your channel and they help with packaging perhaps add a “Packed By” note. Obviously a photo like postcard would likely cut into your profits so just a business card sized note. Just a suggestion that may connect the customer with someone they can see in a video and with your business.

you guys ever cut any Boston Butt's into Pork Steaks? Try at home and see if you like, about 1 1/2 thick. I started eating these down here is South years ago. When Butt are .99lb I have butcher slice for me. I HATE IA, but living in NE and SD IA produces the best pork in Nation IMO. NC is a close 2nd.

@MorganOtt-ne1qj ha, I lived in Boston and I can say that was not a staple in many homes there. I have lived in NC for 20 years so you have east BBQ(Vin based) or West(Rrd based/keychup). Surprisingly I like Vin better.

What is the difference between your pork and big box stores? Don’t you just take some of the same pigs you are raising for the large stores and sell those. Any difference?
@MorganOtt-ne1qj
@MorganOtt-ne1qj 9 ай бұрын
Hand selected vs mass processed. You can support them specifically if you want to, instead of buying from a packer that sells to the grocery store. Tork and Sawyer are picking hogs they think are better, not just taking a pen of hogs, or a semi full, or a barn full. Not saying the others are not good, but the Farmer Grade customer gets hand selected pork. Try em, you might like em.
@scottcoulter8296
@scottcoulter8296 9 ай бұрын
There is a huge difference!! Walmart meat you have no idea if the beef or pork is even from the United States or different countries... Plus Walmart injects the meat so it last longer on the shelves.. Plus the farmers themselves don't get any profit.. The stores, slaughter houses get all the profits..
@jaythomas4695
@jaythomas4695 9 ай бұрын
The packer size hog is 240 pounds versus 320 hog the size in all your cuts are bigger
@MorganOtt-ne1qj
@MorganOtt-ne1qj 9 ай бұрын
@@jaythomas4695 Ideally, yes. But selling by the pound negates that. IE: a 4oz chop would be cut thinner. But they are picking out the ones that they think are the best, regardless of size. Takes a skill for judging live hogs. If I didn't have a local supply of pork (family member raises hogs), I would be a customer!
