Man, I just got one of these too, the jasper long actually, and maybe I just got a dud, but I had a bunch of problems. A few of the screws for the brackets of the table cracked the brackets themselves and the screw holes in two of my legs were off causing the legs to be super wobbly. Two of my toppers had big cracks down the middle too. I reached out to them and they responded super quickly which was great, but then it was like a month and a half of back and forth to actually get the replacement bits sent. They let me know right away they’d send replacement parts, but then after 3 weeks I reached out and asked “hey how bout those replacement legs” and then it was 4 weeks of “it’s shipping later this week!” BUT, now that it’s all set up and working correctly…. It’s pretty dope. Big fan.

Great video. I should be having mine delivered this week. I mainly got mine just because I've invested a lot of money on my games and I just think they need a proper surface so it doesn't slide or miniatures fall in the floor and also pick up my cards much easier and avoid damaging them. Thank you for this great video and sincere review!

@TCbH Have you had any problems with bumping the dining topper from underneath while getting up from the table? It looks like the topper hangs over the arm rest by a little bit, so was wondering how often it would get bumped upward and disturb the items on top of it.

Purchased this table. The Jasper long. After replacing the table surface, application of wood filler and rotary sanding working for about 6 hours, I was able to get the surface to just have some minor humps, versus the significant discrete edges sticking up. I had to add fasteners to the edges because the corners were warping. I still haven’t been able to straighten the legs after following the institutions they sent me. Very disappointed in this purchase.

@@AkaAka_AkaAka While the estimate was much longer, I want to say it was about a week, MAYBE 10 days. I'm sure it it probably didn't hurt that we are only a couple of states away for shipping (Missouri to Minnesota).

@@dman13141314 They got me mind in under 7 days. From order to at my door. I wish I could post pictures cause I got it in the dark stain and it's gorgeous with the topper. And I'm just gonna say it was/is worth every cent we spent. I ended up going with the Large one with Topper 6 cup holder the side options and a single extra center piece my family & friends cant wait to come over and play.

Absolutely fantastic review!!! Question, where did you get your dark shelf to the right of you in the video? I've been looking for a set that matches the dark walnut table and fits board games well and yours looks so good!

Hey, thanks! The taller shelf is a really lovely shelf I got at Costco maybe 5 or 6 years ago and haven't seen it's like since. The shorter shelf closer to the camera is one of those 9-square shelves we got at Fred Meyer (also called Kroger some places in the US), but I imagine that's available most box stores or online.

Where did you get those 3D tiles for Terraforming Mars at 19:47?

How big is the table you got? I'm worried that 3 x 5 is too small but your table looks big. Can the regular one actually fit 6 adult males around it?

I suppose it depends on the size of the males but yeah it’d fit but if I were doing almost exclusively 6 player games I’d probably go with the Jasper Long. The play surface on mine is 3x5 but overall dimensions are bigger than that. For the biggest of games the topper could be put on which makes it even bigger. For my purposes it’s perfect.

Oh jeez, I wish I knew exacts but it’s been long enough I don’t recall. I imagine any hardware store would be able to hook you up if you bring in the screws provided and tell them the issue. Essentially mine needed to be same length and the same rounded head but a hair wider, and otherwise just good sturdy screws for interior carpentry.

Just played Arkham horror LCG on it tonight with our Frosthaven campaign setup underneath the toppers, so still loving it.

Excellent - Do you use it to have dinner on as well, or is it mostly geared toward gaming? Always curious about how it stands up to the abuse of everyday / occasional use. Also....it being shipped to AK is a concern of mine - things don't exactly show up ship shape.

@@Eckstant shipping to Alaska was perfect for me, though I understand your concern. The table has almost daily use but largely as a game table, sometimes with toppers on, sometimes off. I have a small family so we have a small table in our kitchen that provides for most of our dining needs, but we have used this table for parties or family holidays and it works totally fine. Construction has held up as well as any table I’ve owned in the past, so far, though my cat has definitely put some shallow surface scratches in it that can be seen when looking at it at an angle, but he’s done that for virtually every other surface in my house, too.

They are 4 chairs and a bench that came with another dining room table set we had before the Jasper table.

Great so far. I play on it almost every day and we’ve dined on it several times. I also have since gotten a couple different mats that I can swap out. Construction is still solid. My cat has definitely put some surface scratches in the topper wood by being a jackass, but they are the same very lightweight scratches you get on any wood surface, nothing deep.

@mitchslego6601 Good question! They are actually really well locked in from horizontal bumpage due to the rubber stoppers. The end pieces of the topper have rubber stoppers that butt right up to the corners of the table, which then also locks the center topper pieces in place. The way you take them out is to lift an end piece and slide it out once the stoppers are above the table lip. So no issues with potential sliding around. I suppose if someone got really rowdy they could vertically bump the topper up which might pop one out of place, but I don't think that's much of a concern. You got bigger concerns if people are being that wild around the dinner table anyway.
