Haha, I did this variant too - and didn't see a single pilgrim prior to joining the Frances! This route is best for those who love eucalyptus trees.

I can imagine that this variant is often very quiet and that sometimes you'll be the only pilgrim! I loved the solitude, but then two familiar faces showed up at Twin Pines so it was really nice to share a meal together :)

Hi Nadine, thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. Your channel is my go to in prep. for our 1st Camino ( del Norte) May next year. Can you share which app you use to be able to find/ book ahead your accommodation. We are looking to mix it a bit but hope for private rooms mainly. Any advice much appreciated . Just watched your “This is Camino” beautifully conveyed the spirit of it. Thank you.

Thanks, Dennise! And Buen Camino! I love the Norte so much. For accommodation I mostly use gronze.com (which is a website); it's in Spanish but easy to understand, and lists stages and accommodation options, along with contact info. For making reservations I sometimes use booking.com, but I also used WhatsApp a lot (essentially sending a text to ask about reserving a bed). I also really like the app 'Buen Camino'. I hope this helps!

Your favorite beer has actually Flemish roots (Dutch speaking part of Belgium). Did you notice the word 'Witbier' on the bottle? It is the flemish word for 'white beer'. 😉 Great videos, thanks for that. 👍

I don't have a post of accommodations at the moment, but I'd like to work on putting one together (in the meantime, for these videos at least, I list each place I stay in the video description... so you'd have to go to each video to find out where I stayed, but at least it's there! Having it all in one spot would be handy though...)

Yes, that was Twin Pines! Really the only place to stay on this route, I believe.
