He's still doing them. His current show is called Gearz, it's on it's 14th season, and he isn't limited to just trucks anymore. You can find most of the episodes on his website.

The frame needs to be reinforced at the power steering box. You can add plates on one or both sides and replace the inside frame u shaped reinforcement with some thick sleeves so the frame doesn’t collapse.

@@bigsmoke2621 Yea, my next comment asked that when I realized the frontier didn't come supercharged for over a decade, had to search it since Frontiers always used the same body style all these years.. Still, it's hard to come by engines like these now a days.

Drop track bracket needed unless you use a riser on the passenger side. Don’t use both.

Why don't you "...sand blast and paint..." the chassis BEFORE you bolt on all those new parts...?
@OldGriz7084 жыл бұрын
Because there is cutting and grinding to do during the build and fitment stages.

@karlsmith25704 жыл бұрын
He was mocking all those parts into place to ensure that they'd fit or if he needed to do any modifications before he could sandblast the frame Which is always a good thing because of the fact that I'd suck massive donkey balls to do the sandblasting and painting the frame and then having to cut into the freshly painted frame to make the necessary modifications or find out that the parts you're wanting to use don't work out for your project

And that Nissan would cost close to $40,000 today. Oh how time changes and how the value of the US dollar has shrunk.

If you don't factor in your time and labor it's doable. A couple grand on suspension. A couple grand on axles or if you have the skill customize and rebuld junk yard axles. Probably a couple grand in tins. A couple grand in wheels and tires. Drivetrain is the big expense if you don't reuse stuff. Engine transmission, and t-case can easily get to $10,000 if you spring for nicer parts instead of junkyard stuff which will still have to be rebuilt. Or even worse is not able to be rebuilt because it's to far out of spec. Remember stuff is usually in a junkyard for a reason and you are out the money and still need to get good parts.. If you have to pay for anything to be done expect $100/hr or more for labor.

I'm doing a complete restoration of a 72 bronco, doing most of the work myself including rust repair, body and paint. So far I'm in $30,000 just for parts and materials. I figure I still have another $35,000 to go. I spent $9,000 on custom axles alone! Engine and tranny will be $20,000. I'm only using 7 parts from the original rig, the tub, frame, Dana 44 axle housing, front radius arm end caps, pedal assembly and the hardtop. It's a 4 year project but it will a very nice high end bronco when completed.

I always get a kick out of the fake-laughing-at-everything-to-ramp-up-the-hype type of presenters. Stacey laughs more than the studio audience in a 1990's comedy sitcom.
