Dan, you couldn't have picked a more worthy pilot to interview for your first show. I know Josh is a CFI which is I why have the utmost respect for any comments he makes about flying. I loved his channel from the start but now he is taking it to another level! I can't wait to see future videos that he posts on his channel!

Josh is an amazing person as I have watched him grow from the beginning. This is a credit to his parents who must be very proud. Hearing him describe the joy he feels teaching students to fly really touched me. I am looking forward to the future of Aviation 101.

For Josh, I assume you're reading the comments here. I was kind of miffed at the channel name change, but it all gelled for me when you talked about the interview with the pilot for the Premier. It explains a lot. I truly am glad I joined your channel, and while I may never end up in the left seat again, your videos being me as close as I can hope to be. Jerry Wagner and Trent Palmer are two other guys who do the same thing in different ways. Thanks for sharing this part of your life with us.

I'm impressed by this interview in particular, although I already knew of him through his KZbin channel. This interview covers all the major points needed, and without even asking him about his worst mayday call. Well put together. About my only quibble with the channel's videos (at least initially) is that the audio levels in the interview are rather quiet when compared with the title sequence, meaning I have to fiddle with my own computer's audio levels just to hear the interview over my local environment noise; I don't normally have to do that for most other KZbin videos.

Appreciate the feedback and my bad on the audio on these earlier episodes. I've started using a compressor to level things out.

Your family running a video business now makes sense. We were watching one of your latest videos about Alamagordo (I think it was the first time my wife had seen one) and out of jealousy, I said, "That little asshole makes good videos doesn't he?" My wife said, "He sure does." Thanks for the videos "Mr. Aviation."

I think the reasons you give are right for his success. But another reason I love his videos is some of the things I learn. He will show the things that he said he could have done better, we all do things that when we look back w know we should have done it different. He showed where he did an aborted take off and tells why and how he got to that point. I learn from some of the things he does. I love that he explains things so I understand. I loved the coast to coast flight great video!

@@beaterstang0898 Then who, that's still alive. Gen Chuck Yeager? Good one yes, he is a national treasure and American legendary hero. Time to pass the baton. Kermit Weeks? Another good one, thank God for what Mr. Weeks is doing to preserve aviation history. We have watched Josh Flowers become a sharp pilot. All of us are riding along with him in his videos. So much so we feel Iike crew! Josh is taking us with him as often as possible. It's time for us older pilots to cheer for a new up and becoming sharp bird. Let's give these young birds some credit. Also credit to Jason Shappert (MzeroA) as a fabulous young flight instructor. Who do you recommend?

You can make money as a private pilot with videos because you're not selling pilot services to the public...

@eliasbats9143

I didn't get that part at all... Can you elaborate on this please? What exactly is the issue with making videos or money or whatever? Assume I understand VERY few things about GA.
@TakingOff
@TakingOff 5 жыл бұрын
@@eliasbats9143 In the US, a Private Pilot is not allowed to earn money for flying. To do that, you need a Commercial Pilot's license. What this means is that a Private Pilot cannot accept compensation for his/her flying-- so for example, if a Private Pilot was to do some aerial photography for a client and accept payment for that, they would be in violation of the FAA regulations. Or if a Private Pilot was to get hired to do Crop Dusting for money, that would be in violation. A remedy would be to have a Commercial License for those two examples. Make sense?
