The resurrection and transformation of Lazarus, as seen in this video, is another example of the outstanding care given to the sickest street dogs rescued by Takis Shelter. Even more remarkable is the transformation of personality. Good medical care, good food, new dog friends, freedom to run and play in his area, and most importantly, unconditional love from Takis and shelter workers, turned Lazarus into a happy, confident dog not long after his arrival. I love this little guy and his story. I thank God for leading these two women to find Lazaros and for them to be so compassionate to bring him to Takis. Most people would be afraid to touch him. What a precious soul! The visible relief of just being recognized as a being, taken to a clean space, given a blanket, water, awhat little food he could eat, is so moving. And his absolute joy to be amongst other dogs, to have been given a name, he knows it already! I spoke to a homeless person a while ago. He said, of all the challenges and things that had happened to him, the thing that was hardest, was to be invisible. Nobody saying hello, avoiding eyes, looking away or right through him. Everybody needs to be seen and treatedvwith dignity, respect. Lazaros went from a bleeding flea hotel barely hanging on, to this adorable little gentle and happy fellow so fast, thanks to someone seeing him and caring. Takis, his love and care and the happy rescued friends changed everything. I love this sweet boy Lazaros. ❤

I fell in love with Lazarus when I first saw this video. I don't know why this boy, but he tore at my heart. Takis has thankfully rescued to many in this state, it's appauling. But with Takis they thrive,and have their lives turned around. But I just love this boy and to see him flourish it melts my heart. I wish I was able to adopt Lazarus, but I'm to old. Love this boy and to see him happy now. And he loves his new life it makes me happy. Who could not love him.💕💕💕💕💕💕🐾🐾
