@saeedbaig42493 жыл бұрын
Keep at it! I know it can be hard but getting started is the biggest hurdle. To quote Brad Stulberg: "A big misconception is that you need to be motivated to get rolling. You don't. Research: Motivation often FOLLOWS action, not the other way around. In Practice: You don't need to feel good to get going; you need to get going to give yourself a chance at feeling good". Try using your next block of free time to revisit a project and see how quickly you get sucked into it! Good luck and I know you'll create amazing things!

There is something... fascinating (I think?) about this visual. Nevermind the inspiration it creates, just seeing a simple robot and his miniature companions wandering about on his desk as he writes on scraps of parchment paper with a bottle of ink at the ready, the vast network of pipes and machinery in the background slightly obscured, and the brilliant light illuminating the otherwise empty realm of metal as if to give this strange building a new "life" after some time of some kind of "death"... It seems to want to tell about it's own history despite saying nothing at all.

That’s an interesting way of looking at it. For me I think of this as the robot wishing to imitate the behavior of a human. While it has comparably a much easier and efficient method of immortalizing its thoughts, in that of a computer, it still chooses to carry out the method of penning it down instead. Also the mass amounts of machinery in the background with no human in sight seems to indicate that there are none here, or rather they may not even exist anymore. This act serves to showcase the creation, in the form of the robot, wanting to remember its creator, the human, with this action serving as a memento to them. My headcanon for this being that lofi-girl had developed the robot and had long since passed away, with the robot now imitating her behavior so as to have something to remember her by.

To everyone who is writing, stop reading the comments and switch back to your document. Stop staring at the blinking cursor. STOP STARING AT IT. Write. Write something. Change the font every time you feel yourself hitting a wall, reread it in that font, and keep going. This is your first draft- you can refine it later. Can't think of a name? Make a comment or note in your document or on a sticky note, stick that note to your screen. Do your reasearch dive *later.* Write. Set a timer for 10 minutes and don't stop writing until it's over, then cut out the fluff. Put a stuffed animal or action figure next to your computer and talk to it about the plot points you're planning and where the story needs to go- programmers explain their code to rubber ducks to find errors, and you will find a way forward if you talk about it. If you're writing for a long time, then get up, get a glass of water, eat a granola bar or something and take a walk to stretch your legs. You'll write better if you're not staring at a computer screen for an hour on end.

Damn, i get that the music is the focus and that this is something to listen to in the background while writing or world building but the visuals are so good. I'd enjoy this with only the audio and doing just that, writing with this in the background, but the visuals are equally as good when tied with the audio. I mean it when I say this is truly amazing. The character design mixed with the clear skill for the craft that of which the maker of the visuals for this project has, helps immensely along side the astonishing music which doesn't intrude too much on your thought and instead helps support your writing/creation of the worlds you have bumbling about in your mind. You at Tale Foundry have created something wonderful, just as you always have been and will keep doing. I may not be an experienced writer or world builder but the art of creation and media has always inspired me. Whether that be video making by recording and post production. Creating visual art like drawings, paintings, animations, sculptures, photos, etc. Game creation and design. But most relevant probably being writing. Stories and fictional worlds have been so influential in my life, they form some of my favorite things and inspire me. All the examples of media are 1. Not all there is and it would be near impossible to state all there is. and 2. Inspires me, not only to do those things from the media I consume, like reading a good story for example making me want to write one of my own, but inspire me to do the other forms of media I mentioned and more. I may draw something in the setting of a story with the characters in the story or with characters I make myself or just something inspired by it and it's amazing. Every piece of media I consume plays a part in making me even more interested in media as a whole. The thing is when you get to see what was behind it, how it was made, the original concept, the journey along the way explored by the creators, is something truly inspiring and if said inspiration and motivation sparked by the media and the people behind it were gold, then we would have buildings made from the stuff all around. I know this has been a bit of a wall of text but I really mean what I say. Media makes up the world around us and while it can have it's downfalls it can still be wonderful when this concept of creating the ideas you have into something like an artwork, film, or book, is brought to the right people. Though when I say "the right people" I mean anyone with an idea, even if the base idea is cool or stupid, the way you as a creator actually make it can completely define what the concept actually is, and I guess that's the beauty of it. Sorry that this turned into a bit of a rant/vent on media and creation as a whole but good job Tale Foundry, for everything.

This video got me into college and now I'm writing papers on volcanic eruptions and the enviromental consequences regarding them. Thank you!

I’m put in a trance state of complete focus and comfortability when I listen to this especially with headphones. I’m over locked in to what ever I’m doing at the time I listen. I appreciate these soundtracks because they do something inside of my brain to make me just work effortlessly and it’s very helpful when I need to do work that I wouldn’t be able to do with crowded thoughts.

I've always had ideas for stories but I can't write well or have the motivation to actually write them, but I will often find myself drawing those ideas into characters, fights, of just pictures, and this video makes me want to think of more stories, this entire channel is a gold mine for ideas

If only I were good at drawing, I could finally make my dream show a reality. Until then, I'll just create scenes in my head while listening to tunes.

Building a D&D world, typing it all on Word to then print it all out in a 138 page set. Been listening to this on repeat today after working on it for nine hours, just typing all day with some water and chips. I'm starving now, thanks for the beat by the way Mr. Foundry

Now I must know what god felt when he created the heavens and earth: he was entranced by beautiful music and felt compelled to create, regardless of the imperfection of his creation... So too shall I create of imperfection while mesmerized by this angelic choir, and neither will I ever return to my creation once the music ceases. But in the mean time, I revel in the beauty of the rhythms and harmonies with great pleasure, hubris and thankfulness for the beings who placed it along the way :)

I'm a cynical man. I spend time wondering why someone does something 'helpful' like giving advice or guidance. I'm suspicious of everything and everyone, thinking to myself 'what do they want'? I avoided this channel for a while since it ranked up there with the rest of the 'What do the creators get out of this?' It's a terrible way to live, I know, but its served me well online. Then I saw two videos here; the video about struggling to write and then this one. The impact of having both back-to-back helped contextualize the notion that there are people out there who DO care about my writing as much as I do--and that love to write as much as I do. And maybe it isn't a competition to see who is the more passionate writer. It isn't about getting an audience--the most important audience is yourself. Writing for the love of writing, not profit or popularity or even just bragging rights. Thank you for helping me see that writing can be more than a hobby and more than a source of income. First and foremost its about expressing yourself to yourself. The world comes after.

It really bothers me how much does school made me hate books at first. I had to read something I was not enjoying at all, but now, after finding just ONE book I really liked and tons of interesting small tales, I feel like I should start to read more and more. Or even write something. Just a tale, creepypasta, or a simple walk through a magical forest... possibilities seems endless now. Thanks Tale Foundry, you've just earned another subscriber

Fill the void with creation of anything before your soul is smeared across the vast emptiness that is our reality. Infinitely it is filled with objects, but only we give me meaning to any of it. Define your surroundings and never let them go, or else lose yourself in a sea without an end.
