Hi Philip, I applied for the edorsement and I want to apply for Stage 2 simultaneously since my current visa is about to expire. How do i do that? The stage 2 application asks me if i recieved my endorsement yet.

In the documents page there are a list of documents that you checked one of which was "Proof of having won international awards for excellence (Oscars)" If we had such an award whats the need for getting an endorsement? I thought endorsements are alternate for applicants not having awards. Please put some clarity on this?

Depending on your talent, You normally need 3 referee letters and 2 out of 3 recognitions (media, awards or evidence of performances)

Hello Philip, thanks for sharing. I was wondering if there is a possibility of a lawyer with a UK Master's degree and an MBA applying for the global talent visa under exceptional promise? How would you advise this person to go about their application and what route? They have no publications but have worked with international clients, have worked in the uk and have a recognised referee.

This video has helped me so much. Thank you so so much. Although I have another question, I’m applying through dance, my third letter is from an ‘eminent’ individual. Firstly, do I need to put any link of publication/ LinkedIn profile of the person? Secondly, how do I even gauge if the person qualifies as an ‘eminen’ individual?

Ask him to include his biography (cv) and list all his achievements, competitions, awards and performances etc. In his biography he can add links. I guess you could only gauge the person based on the biography that they give you unless they are super famous in dance. Apologies for being vague but I hope that helps

You can apply for endorsement to tech nation in the link and also read the guidance of what you must supply. If approved you can then apply for the visa technation.io/global-talent-visa/

Probably yes but only if your a leader in your field with industry recognition or Academy Awards, BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Emmys nominations. You would need to be super famous for what you do

Film and television You can apply for endorsement if you work in: film television animation post production visual effects The Producers’ Alliance for Cinema and Television (PACT) will judge your application on behalf of Arts Council England. PACT will judge if you’re a leader in your field (called ‘exceptional talent’).

You can also find endorser overseas. - a scheme run by an international organisation similar to the British Fashion Council, for example the Council of Fashion Designers in America The Fashion East Support Scheme The Sarabande Foundation The Centre for Fashion Enterprise You must give the: name of the scheme and organisation date the sponsorship or support was given

If you apply from overseas, the arts council will pass your application to the British Fashion Council. The arts council email is [e-mail] they reply very quickly. Their web site is artscouncil.org.uk Basically you send all information to them

Various types of talent visas, but in brief it will normally take you a couple of months to collect all the documents. Some applicants are exempt, for example you were nominated for an Oscar. Then you can apply without the endorsement unless things have changed since I made the video

@@HappyVisas yes it was submitted to arts council. Apparently, they denied me saying, my authors for my media recognition were mostly journalists. They accepted one of them as it was from a reviewer. However, these journalists engage in arts and culture contents. So I really don’t know

I have only ever helped with two talent visas, tech nation and arts council. They were a nightmare collecting the documents in the correct format and with the correct wording. I am not sure that this is my area of expertise to offer consultancy

@@HappyVisas I completely understand. I believe it may be very similar to mine (British Academy). My visa got refused because I do not meet the "eligibility criteria" (which I do) and apparently thats why my application couldn't be peer reviewed. Any suggestions?

Almost certainly you will not get the endorsement. Start contacting news organizations, famous bloggers to critique your performances. Try to get international gigs, international recognition etc. From what you told me in your short post, you are at least 2 years away from applying.

Are you talking about the Start Up visa? This is not my area of expertise but I guess you would need to show some history of success in the internet technology sector or App development

Each endorsement body has different criteria. For example, from April 2023 the arts council now request this document, it’s more like a CV

I am asking because the arts council England replied my email stating that the minimum required document is 1x cv, 2 media recognition, 2 proof of appearance. so i was wondering, if it is possible to applying with less than 10 evidences but not more? or I am the one who didn't understand? please help me

You don’t need to supply 10 items, but the minimum number in the guidance is required. 3 referees essential, 1 from the UK, I’d supply 2 from each of the other catergories

Yes, you need 3 in total and 1 must be from a reputable organization in the UK and two from any other country. The referees must also supply a biography about themselves (CV).

I guess The easiest way, collaborate with some museum or offer a gallery to display your works and try and sell them. These type of contacts who would be prepared to issue such letters might take a couple of years of knowing each other. Not easy I’m afraid. Also look through all your contacts, maybe you have a British contact there
