She's the best singer this year, with Jayna, Abi, and Julia not far behind. They're all flawless but Nya takes the #1 spot. Hope someone signs her. She can sing anything!!

I have watched EVERY season of Idol since it's inception; it is NOT a talent competition, it is a popularity contest. Nya's vocals were the best of the season and I can see them bringing her back to sing again on the finale. Don't forget they put together a traveling show to sell tickets every summer so she'll get to perform and make a few bucks. No one goes home empty handed anymore. Hopefully this can jumpstart her career because there were white girls galore being pitchy as hell but they had "angst" and "sadness" in all of their performances pulling on heartstrings. It is what it is.

She was one of my faves, and even though I knew she wouldn't last long, I was so mad she didn't get to top 12. The demographic that watches Idol highly favors country singers. Every year there's so-so country singers that get further than the most amazing soul/rnb singers. And the voting system is not fair. People on the west coast have to vote before the show even starts. I missed it last night thinking surely we could vote after seeing the performances, but no.

Nya has improved tremendously since her audition. This was one of her best performances to date. Gene Simmons gave her good advice, which she executed flawlessly. This is just one of many stages. I think if there is a problem at all with the flawless talent between Julia, Nya, and Jayne Elise is what is their artistry style, what would their album sound like, what songs would they write or would be written for them?
