As a future neurologist I have to say how fascinating Kodi is. I do not know him as a person, unfortunately. But seeing how severely affected he is by autism, it is touching and amazing that he, through music, has found a way to have a common language with everyone, and not only that, he speaks it better than most, and can touch us that way, and show us the person that he is. Autism is a condition that makes socializing and communication difficult, but Kodi has found a channel through those difficulties. It's amazing to watch.
@Jordan-hk5ck2 жыл бұрын
I just want to make sure you know, since you say you’ll be working in the field, that being autistic is hard since most systems aren’t made for us. And it’s not something just something that we have, it’s a huge part of who we are. Autism doesn’t “affect” us, and “severe” or low/high levels of autism aren’t really a thing. Just because other people experience our autism more/less, doesn’t men that we are more/less autistic. Also, I’ve been thinking about going to college to get a degree in psychology or medicine or neurology :) Do you have any info about what jobs are in neurology, what you learn about in college classes, etc.? Thank you! 😊

Conspicuously absent on this clip, but genuinely acknowledged, is the fact that the composer of this song, Paul Simon, considers this as his masterpiece...and rarely does he ever give permission for ANYONE to perform it. Paul simply does NOT want this piece of musical treasure to be exploited and trivialized...as is his right as author and composer. The fact that he gave permission within 30 mins of viewing Cody's performance speaks volumes! Well done, Cody, and thank you, Paul, for making this moment possible! Well done...well done! :-)

@@viewsfromthesix971 Not about feminimism, its about the love of a parent. She clearly has an amazing bond with him that runs deeper than a bond with his father, which is why the commenter said what he did. If his dad was with him through all this, the commenter wouldve said his father.

@Tavita Khan "its about the love of a parent" So you're saying the father didn't love Kodi? If he hadn't worked his butt off to help them get by financially, the mother wouldn't have been able to spend so much time with Kodi n give him all the resources he needed to b where he's at today

@@terminatorevil766 Clearly you ignored the rest of my comment. Why dont you read it again so you dont sound ignorant because nowhere did I say his father didnt love hin, I only said the bond seems to run deeper between mom and son. 🙄🙄🙄

Just love how his mom is always there for him right before each performance to be his rock and encourage him. A lot of thanks and all the roses to her.
