q. Sum of 5 consequtive odd nos is 575, calculate sum of next 5 consequtive odd nos. Sol. let nos be a, b, c,d, and e. Their sum is given 575. next 5 consequtive odd nos be f,g, h, i, and j Obviously, diff b/w a and f, b and g, ... e and j is 10. This implies required sum is 575+10×5= 575+50=625

There's an easier way for example 1. If we take the 3 numbers as x-2,x,x+2, then the sum would be 3x. So we can easily do the whole question mentally. 3x = 44 + x -> 2x = 44 -> x = 22 -> Highest number, x+2 = 24
@Sanjeed4 жыл бұрын
Same can be used in example 4 and done mentally in few seconds

Model 6 question is regarding Consecutive Odd numbers. Why Rohit explained consecutive even numbers as x, x+2, x+4 and so on? It should be x, x+1, x+2..and so on. Please explain. Thanks.
@samjoseph2638 жыл бұрын
because the first number is always going to be an even number, and adding two each time will always give us an even number

I think its not the correct practice to form consecutive even no. and consecutive odd no. series as prescribed in this video....consecutive even no. should be 2x + 2, 2x + 4, 2x + 6 and so on & consecutive odd no will be 2x + 3, 2x + 5, 2x + 7 and so on
@KathulaSai9 жыл бұрын
