Rhys Technically, Jack saved more people on Elpis than both generations of vault hunters did. I guess you could say they saved a lot of people by stopping the warrior, but technically, jack was going to use the warrior to wipe out bandits and psychos, which the vault hunters kind of did a lot. I understand why some people call Jack bad, and I understand why others say he's good, I think he's somewhere in between personally. Maybe Lawful Neutral or chaotic neutral.

Anonman223 So saving one population of people gives you the right to destroy another? The bottom line is this; Jack recruited people to help him find a vault on Elpis and this was before Zarpedon and her brand of crazy came and tried to take Helios, ect. Given his.. borderline obsession with finding the Vault of the Sentinel, I sincerely doubt that he had the people of Elpis on his mind when he saved it. After all, if Zarpedon had destroyed Elpis, Jack wouldn't get his vault. If Jack didn't get his vault, well, he'd certainly be in a lose/lose scenario. And you're just a little off about his intentions in BL2. He did initially SAY he wanted to wipe out bandit camps alone, but that was with the Eye of Helios. The Eye of Helios, which he had constructed in total secret, might I add. He was going to use the Warrior to purge the entire planet That means everyone. Afterwards he wanted to rebuild it so he could pick and choose who lived there in his own personal little dictatorship. Sounds nice, yeah? Oh, right. You would have to be filthy rich in order to even apply. I'm not going to go into all of the other less than kind things he's done, even before the betrayal. ( Which was arguably necessary, though I believe it could have been executed better than it was.. ) Don't get me wrong here, either! I'm not telling anyone they shouldn't/can't like his character, because yes, he is surprisingly well written as a villain. Yes, I also believe that he started out with mildly good intentions, But.. Jack is a product of his own decisions. No one character ever made him "crazy." He'd already displayed some sociopathic and manipulative behavior early on, albeit subtly at first.
