Not gonna lie, but this is one of these first few times we actually get to see a backstory of what Salty's life on British Railways was like before coming to Sodor, and having to deal with two nasty diesels who are worse than Splatter & Dodge when he told the story to them many years later. He is one diesel you don't want to mess around with when it comes to hard work. I was also shocked at Spinner and Tanner's fate after one fatal accident, and it sort of feels like Stanley/Smudger's punishment in some harsher way. Also, it has been a pleasure voicing Thomas in this story and the second batch of Tales from the Scrapyard Sidings in general!😃

What a dark story, this was. And definitely one to keep naughty engines in order. Spinner and Tanner definitely sound like quite the characters. Btw, it was a pleasure narrating this and voicing Cranky as well. Kudos once again!

As sad as Spanner’s fate is, they could have had it a lot worse. They could have been fused cab-to-cab, one facing forward and the other facing backwards…and unlike Mighty Mac, who could both get a say, or the Culdee Fell engines, who have two faces but one soul, one of them would have no say in where to go, just dragged around as an extra engine for the other… but as they are now, they’ll both be going forward.

Towards the beginning of this story, I didn't think it would be that scary given the first few music choices. But it began to turn rather quickly following the accident. And I most certainly did not expect it to end the way it did. The use of Splatter and Dodge was also very unique too as well as amazing voice acters. Great job!

Isn't their fate the train equivalent to a human centipede? They're physically stuck together, so they're literally inseparable I looked forward to this story since it was teased in the trailer for tftss 2, and it did not disappoint me at all! Great work, 22tesla!

Wow, now this story about teo class 08’s becoming to a class 13 before salty came to Sodor was quite a dark one like the previous one of witness, you did a very nice job on the writing of the story, including the voice cast for the engines and narrator. Looks like the second season of tales from the scrap siding makes both season 1 and 2 totally great. 😁

An interesting, but dark and sad story. Interesting choice on using Splatter and Dodge here. I didn't expect them to appear in this story. I guess if Splatter and Dodge do misbehave too much, they'll literally be what their old boss calls them, Spldoge. But I wonder, what if Salty tells a Stream Engine version of this to two other twins? Most likely to Bill and Ben. Anyways this is an interesting and good story. Can't wait to see the last story on Halloween! Or the day before Halloween.

HEheh yeah, I wanted to do something with the Class 13 diesel and thought about it. I would have used Arry and BErt, but they've been tormented enough I feel, so Splodge was the one I'd use. I did have a darker story in mind: a scary story of the class 13 roaming the mainland, looking to add MORE diesel shunters to itself, the master unit wanting more slaves. But it didn't come to be.

Well, two class 08s became one as a class 13, that’s something that would be useful for model engines either O gauge, OO gauge or N gauge railway sets, but Spinner and Tanner now known as Spanner, they really did learn their lesson about being careless with shunting

A great story, though I feel it was a bit of missed opportunity to attempt some real undead she'd energy with the Class 13 concept and having the engine to encounter the events(Not necessarily Salty) be actually hesitant to tell the story as if it was something life scaring. But, not going to lie, it is still interesting and makes for a nice cautionary tale even if the execution could use a little work. But maybe that's just me, I know others have different opinions.

Yeah I know. This story is a bit rough, kinda the last story I wrote earlier this year before I put out auditions in July. I had a few ideas for the Class 13, and maybe I'll use them for a story next year, or something

Honestly, compared to overworked steamies being killed and their corpses forced to move by a money hungry controller, two Class 08 turned into a Class 13(why weren’t they callled a Class 16?) with both their faces intact isn’t so scarring. In fact, I was expecting one of the two ‘nners to die from the crash, or the Class 13 to be faceless. Another thing is that the Undead Shed steamies were innocent. Spanner deserved their fate.
