Hope you all enjoyed this final entry into SS3. A lot of people who write horror stories for Thomas go with ghosts. I decided to go the psychological route, and with something that's never been done with Thomas before. A lot of people say ghosts aren't real and are all in your head, and it's always been debated if ghosts are real or not. Sleep paralysis, however, is as real as its hallucinations look. And is something I'm sure a good amount of people watching have gone through, I myself have had my own fair share of experiences with it, even encountering demons a couple times. The feeling of not being able to use any part of your body except your eyes is a scary enough by itself, add hallucinations of demons and you have one of the most terrifying experiences any person could have. Just goes to show, the scariest things in life are those in your head.

From how Sir Topham Hat sounded when describing Sleep Paralysis, it implies he has had them before, as he sounds rather somber about it.

the story was good along with the message about sleep paralysis. even if it wasn't scary one, it was still quite a heart-warming story. despite the story being a bit short, at least everyone did a nice job on their voice acting roles.

Well, still translates to Frozen in Fear when you take each letter and swap it with its opposite, decoding the atbash cypher. Of course, now we know that this likely won't be Jack Frost, which increases the mystery of this episode's subject matter.

Nice short story to end off this year's Tales from the Scrap Siding.Not bad. Nice and interesting to see sleep paralysis covered here. Even engines in this universe experience having them. Nice to see the Fat Controller help comforted Thomas with it. It shows more that he does care about his engines. It's always heartwarming to see that. The part where that "thing" was coming closer to Thomas during his dream was really creepy there. Kinda expected a jumpscare in a way. Anyways good little to end of this year. I hope you'll have more stories for next year's Tale from the Scrap Sidings if you plan to do that.

Happy Halloween 22tesla! Your stories this time from 1st to last have had a happy start and end. :) Tales from the scrap siding 3: 6 nights at the Ffarquhar Branch and other stories. So the scene where Sir Topham Hatt talks to Thomas about sleep paralysis demons is the same image from the 2nd story with some changes? Blue Snowplow's mouse costume last night from his stream was my sleep paralysis demon for giving me Thomas Percy and the squeak PTSD... :(
@22Tesla10 ай бұрын
Well, it was cheap to reuse the same visual, but change some things but then again that image was also used in the first part of Old Stomping Grounds, minus Percy. Cheap, but it helped me make it work
@jeremiahsisaias867710 ай бұрын
@@22TeslaYeah it didn't really feel copied and pasted to me. Maybe a redraw. What are some moments that gave you sleep paralysis demons from Thomas when you were a kid? I've had much worse back in my days and Blue Snowplow's costume from his live stream last night... 😭

It never occurred to me that trains could have sleep paralysis,but it makes sense!In my universe it’s impossible for them to have it as trains can’t move without a driver,well,for the most part.It takes a lot of effort and energy if they do,and usually leaves said train completely exhausted.So if they’re always in park while sleeping,what’s the point in paralyzing the body?

I feel like i should share my sleep paralysis moment. So before she was put down, my cat buttercup slept on my bed. She normally slept on my chest, and so my view would be a bit blocked by this tortoise calico cat. One night i awoke and couldn't move, i didnt think much of it until i opened my eyes, there still sound asleep was my cat, she was blocking the view of the other half of my bedroom, (like she was on my face and i can only see the doorway with thr hallway light and the right of me was pitch dark.) Without the ability to move, to speak, to scream i was mortified on what was happening, i tried to shake my body to wake her up, to roll outta bed but i couldn't move a inch, I felt my mind trying to open my mouth but it wouldn't open, my eyes were darting all around trying to make sense of what happened my ears picked up something. Buttercup was purring. In the moment i relax hearing her purr. I thought if this was my final moments i wasnt gonna let fear take control, i will be at peace. Her purring put me to sleep for me to awake with control. And i never told a soul. I still miss her.

Well done, this is an interesting perspective on a not-so-paranormal phenomenon! My only pointer is that Beech could work on incorporating the scary stuff not too early in his storytelling. The section where Thomas sees the spook came rather quickly. Otherwise (psst - don't tell Graves) -- great second effort from the new kid! He'll go far in the Spirit Story Society (or whatever that group is called?)
