Great bit of nostalgia there! I was there for the Turdrunner powerskid in Sydney, we all thought it was the best powerskid ever that day! And I sent that video to heaps of people so I'm probably half of the views on that one! Sucks that YT has downgraded the quality, ridiculous. :( Funny to think of someone complaining about getting too much traffic online haha A couple of these I haven't seen yet, will work my way down the list so there's 10 more views for you at least... Don't know why Peter wouldn't like that video, I think expression sessions like that should happen more. Shows they can do more than just sit on the brake and make smoke... It's a great legacy you've already got Scotty, looking forward to seeing what's to come!

I had to remind myself how I found your channel back in the day before I was writing and shooting from the rails. I had seen your footage early on (the drifty Camaro for sure) but I couldn’t remember if yours was the first Aussie burnout or not. This footage of George Separovich’s evil HK Monaro that nitroclutchy shot at Motorvation ‘04 was the first. Some Aussie troops were showing the footage to a mouthy gearhead troop I knew while we were in Iraq. After seeing it for myself, I told the kid to admit defeat and copied the vid onto my computer. Those early vids spread like wildfire during those deployments. Lots of inspiration came from those early vids!

When I saw the title I didn't think this was going to be that interesting. Sometimes it's good to be wrong! It was fun to know you had quite a number of virial videos and that I had seen them. Your #4 was such a cock up by everyone involved. But the worst thing, I saw in that video, the first time I saw it, was an event official kicking a competitors car!!! That could've turned into a huge mess. The most controversial thing I have seen such an event. A lot of interesting background to these videos. Thanks for sharing.

What people don't realise is a LOT of the Car content we take for granted was totally unseen in the US, Epic Burnouts and skidpan action just wasnt known or a thing in the United States and suddenly 300 Million plus viewers are exposed to tyre shredding mayhem, Fires and raw primal displays of destruction never before seen and often in US Classic cars. Add to this Our casual dismissal when asked about this stuff like "Oh yeah thats just Summernats" and We do this all the time and the Americans just want in on the fun. When you take a hard look at it ........ Top Fuel Drag engines used to melt tyres is kinda nuts lol but whoa what a thing :-)

Love that Nukinfuts video, and so what if the drivers view doesn’t align with yours … everything is there, on video for the viewer to decide 🤷♂️ As for other car builders not enjoying your successes; well, they’re builders and you’re a content creator and each party is going to see the world from different perspectives and I don’t see how anyone could be getting taken advantage of here. I see only benefits. That’s the power of content and without people like yourself, people like Gray don’t get exposure. Good luck going up to mainstream media and expecting a handout if they do half as much 😂

@Low760 the problem is he spent alot of money at one workshop and when that didn't get the result he had to start again with another workshop. It was also the early days of big horsepower, so it cost more. Now you could do it alot cheaper.

@Low7605 ай бұрын
@@blownhemi oh I remember the time. Just so much money.
@DodgyBrothersEngineering5 ай бұрын
@@Low760 I think a big part of the problem is success has gone to some of these shops heads. Once upon a time I remember when it might have cost you $5,000 to get 350hp, but then these shops started to get a reputation and before you know it you were spending $20,000 to get the same amount of work $5,000 would have once bought you. Ohh it billet that makes it cost ten times as much. And that is how we have ballooned into these current stupid prices.
@antonjimmy56365 ай бұрын
You've also gotta remember 20+ years ago turbos were nowhere near as cheap or efficient as they are now, ECUs weren't as advanced, and I'm pretty sure there were rules around pump gas, and alcohol based fuels not being allowed for the Horse Power Heroes comp (you got bumped into an "open" or demo class I think)

People certainly are strange. Nothing stops them hiring someone to take professional videos of their cars, so they can upload it to their channel and hopefully do as well as you did. But instead they would rather begrudge you having any kind of success. Not sure if it was smart decision but I removed a couple of videos from my channel that got about 300,000 views.
