Stu Hart was one of the toughest men to ever lace up the boots but his toughness was only matched by his big heart.Stu Hart is not just a legend here in Canada but all over the entire world of wrestling.Bret can be proud of his dad for not only his legacy in wrestling but as a genuine good hearted human being.The Hart family makes me proud to be a Canadian fan of the squared circle.

I don't think we want a movie about Stu and the dungeon. It would probably be only slightly less disturbing than a movie about Fritz and the Von Erichs.
@marka.graffakasnakebitenat37365 жыл бұрын
@@jobguy2351 No, a movie about The Von Erichs would be one hell of a movie along with one about The McMahons. It would teach people that want to get into the Entertainment Wrestling business how it's done professionally and/or non-professional.

Jason was my favourite in stampede wrestling. God that takes me back seeing 2&7 Calgary. When i was little and worked at a gas station in calgary on 16th, my coworker passed me a creditcard he said check this name out... IT was Bret Hart's. I was in shock, I asked to get me a autograph, as one of his kids reached out a picture in the trunk of the car and Bret Hart signed it for me, This is back when he was just signed with WCW. Thanks alot Bret ! Just shows how much Hart, he has to take the time to sign it for me. Also seen DaveyBoy Smith in the same gas station using the bank machine twice. Wads of cash he took out. But he got some big BIG ARMS lol.

Bret started in Stampede wrestling as a referee and him and Owen both were selling programs to the fans at the pavilion. Bret and Bad News Allen had some very good matches and Benoit was only a mid card. Dynamite and Bulldog were enemies and had some great matches. The Stomper and Dan kroffat had some very good matches and Danny Little Bear. Andre the Giant would come during the Calgary Stampede to wrestle and Keith Hart was the first to wrestle from all the Hart boys. Bruce Hart and Brian Pillman made a tag team called Bad Company and Honky Tonk played the same as in WWF. Roddy Rowdy Piper also trained in the dungeon and that was the time Benoit watched, idolized and learned from Dynamite and emulated his style.

Greetings from Michigan. I really love your Wrestling documentaries, and am grateful that grappling Historians like you, are out there. I've been watching Wrestling since about 81'-82'-ish, but, beyond the six o' five Saturday night show on TBS, Big Time out of my hometown, and a few like CWA, Southeast-Continental, and UWF, I had a limited selection to watch. Also one coming out of NE Canada, but I cannot recall the name.. I can remember Dan Kroffat, Alofa, Gino Brito, and a manager named Creachman, but we didn't get that show all that often. Because of Historians like you, I can now see the Wrestlers from the territories we didn't get in Detroit. Calgary is one of those territories that I only read about. Thanks for the awesome documentaries! P.S. Pause it at 6:47 and tell me that Mr. O'Connor doesn't have a creepy face.... like a plastic mask. I am 50 pointless years old, and that look terrifies me.

I know this is a wrestling channel but you mentioned the 1905 hockey championship which is an amazing story. Back then literally any team in Canada had the right to challenge for the championship. So this little town of Dawson City challenge the reigning champs. Only thing was they had to travel 4000 miles in -20F degrees. They had to travel by "bicycle, dog sled, dingy railroad coach, boat and, finally, a fancy transcontinental train" to only get slaughtered by the champs lol

When I say small, I mean small, like however small you're thinking, it's probably smaller. It's honestly insane that they hit those towns, I had no idea. I was living in a bigger small town (technically a city, pop 6000) a couple of hours away in those days and Stampede would come to us regularly, but I guess I always assumed we were like the bare minumum they could perform for. I can't imagine what kind of houses they were drawing in some of those places, or what the payouts would have been for the boys.
