One of the top wrestlers during the ruthless aggression era. He was born to wrestle but people forget that he was so beloved by everyone that he’s ever met. He’s one of those people that you’ll ask your friends or family “Remember him? I hope he’s doing well.” His legacy will live on. WWE should’ve paid tribute to him but I understand that they were still shocked about the Benoit tragedy.

I did not see any awa until the mid-late 80's which is when i guess it started to wane. For all the greats that were trained there, not many of the 'young' guys were given top spots (until near the end). Having been on the east coast, and faniliar only with WWF, seeing the AWA for the first time, my friends and i thought it was an old man's territory. I did Judo for many years. Allen was good friends with my Sensei and I also knew Allen very well. He was very nice guy and a very good father. I used to laugh back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when people were terrified of him. One time we went out to eat at restaurant, and people who recognized him were scared of him. I just tried to hide my laughter. Ha ha ha!

Grew up watching AWA on regular tv 70's and 80's. Jim "Baron Von" Raschke lives in my town now. I run into him occasionally at the grocery store. Really showing his age now, but still kickin.

I grew up in the sixties and early seventies with Gordon Solie and Championship Wrestling from Florida. Wow, the memories!

Myself and Terry Gordy drove from Chattanooga,TN to Tuscaloosa,AL to a WWE TV taping and so Terry could see Michael Hayes. All the boys came up and paid respect to Terry. The Dudley Boys put Terry Gordy over big. Vince McMahon was there he was nice and super respectful to Terry. Terry passed away the next week. Terry was complaining about his shoulder bothering him. It was a blood clot and that’s what he passed away from.

I knew the Grahams as a kid. Eddie Graham was always nice to us kids when we went to his house. Never once did he turn us away. Mike was a teenager and he would come home with a future star...Steve Kern. He always promoted the Fla Sheriff's Boy Ranch. He was a true hero to us kids.

Bro losing a family can really be devastating to a man who really cares about his family. I feel for Mike and his children man, a very similar situation happened to me in 2018 when my ex left me took my daughter and recorded me every time I spoke to her on the phone to ask why she was doing this and I just want to be with my daughter then put a restraining order on me and had me charged with stalking lol stalking bro like I was not outside her house or anything like that I would literally just call to get closure and try to have a relationship with my daughter… Anyways long story short I was living in my car super depressed and thought about ending it every moment of the day… I know what Mike had to be going through and it’s hard as a man to accept things you’ll never understand and push forward hoping for better days… It’s 2024 I’m still here and hoping for the day I’ll be able to see my daughter again but I pulled myself out of the funk when a lot of men will take a less painful route but that doesn’t mean life is easy you just got to have faith in yourself to fight for a better tomorrow. Wow dude I really don’t talk about this much but Mike Awesome was someone I loved watching as a kid and I guess this just inspired me to share.
