So excited for this! I like the character choices: fun stories to tell with Morgan vs Grievous (I love anything Dathomir) and Barris post order 66 (wonder how she reacts to all of it and her path to being an inquisitor, and seeing her with Anakin/Vader given their history). Would love to see a post episode 6 show with Han/Luke/Leia in this style of animation. Not sure why some people are upset they happen to be female characters…why do they care so much? the 2 above should have interesting stories to tell in the Empire Era.

I know that there will be legions of skeptics watching this and whining about more "Force is Female" political hijacking like they did with Ahsoka not realizing that this is actually the natural flow of this Filoni based story. Bariss was a seriously pivotal and important character that we never really got a conclusion to. So it's only natural that she is in this. Just like it's natural to have Morgan in this as she survived Grevious. This is how she and Thrawn came together. It's the right direction to go. And with Luminara Unduli in Rebels, again this is the right story to tell. It just so happens all these characters are women. Just like in Ahsoka, the remaining characters for a season 5 of Rebels were all female. Zeb had gone off to do other things. So while this will get bashed for unfair, biased, political forced representation... it actually isn't. Who else is left to tell the story of in this case. This is how you tie the Filoniverse together. This is what we want. Not the Acolyte. This is why Dave should be running everything.

Why not have all this AND The Acolyte? There is no need for competition amongst fans of the various sides of Star Wars. As a major Star Wars novel reader, and I'm sure many other High Republic fans would agree, I'm just as excited for The Acolyte as I am for this. I just want to step away from the Skywalkers for once in visual media, and whether fans want to admit it or not, they probably would enjoy that as well without knowing. When Andor was announced, very few to no one at the time was looking for more Cassian content. Many people were trashing it before it even released, and now it is being heralded by many as some of the best SW content since the films. We must stop judging projects before we have even seen the product and get the full breadth of it. Disney stays in the Skywalker Saga era: "Disney must stop ruining Star Wars..." "It's all female..." "Disney ruined my favourite character!" "Boring! Star Wars is still the same, they must do something new for once..." Disney steps away from known fan favourite characters and events: "Disney just doesn't get Star Wars..." "I don't want to see 'x race' Jedi because woke..." "Where is my favourite character?!" "Where is the Empire?!" If you don't enjoy the finished product of a SW project, that is fine! Don't watch it again if you don't want to. There will be many many more SW things to come out that you might love. Just move on, no one is forcing you to watch these things and holding a gun to your head saying you must love everything Star Wars. If Acolyte is garbage, then its garbage. There is a chance that it could be even better than Andor, but it needs to be given a chance. If you don't want to watch, cool. But don't shoot down another UNRELEASED series because you aren't interested. You and your interest aren't the entire fan base. P.S By you I mean the greater fan base that love to whine, not you specifically @minximayhem But I do hope you give the Acolyte a chance, it may surprise you!

@@GeneralNeo999 The problem with The Acolyte is it IS deliberate forced message sending. It has no other reason to exist. And they aren't shy about saying that. Telling a Star wars story isn't the point of it. Pushing their ideology all over a Star Wars tapestry is. And it literally hurts the franchise. And they are openly okay with that.

@@minximayhem The ‘reason’ it exists is to literally tell us a story from an era they have been actively using and growing for the past 4 years. It’s literally an extension to the High Republic novel series and to tie that era with what we know and see in the prequels. How is that not telling a story? It’s the definition of them telling a story. Completely unique, as it’s was not done in legends before the Disney acquisition.

It's like Bad Batch Season 1 and 3... or Clone Wars 1 & 7... there are huge differences in their style over time for the same season. Thrawn looks sick in TCW era style.

I personally am only interested in the barris stuff. I always wished that they did more with with Jason Issacs grand inquisitor. I couldn't care less about Morgan Elsbeth. The ahsoka show was basically just part of an opening crawl,mainly having nostalgia bait to keep interest in it,since they're creatively bankrupt.

After watching Ahsoka's haphazard storyline, I'm pretty soured on the idea that Filoni should be the guy in charge of and creating everything going forward. Even if people aren't as interested in the acolyte as others, surely we need way more stories like that set AWAY from the whole Empire/Skywalker Saga instead of constantly filling in needless cracks and ruining the mysteries of this era.

@@darthnihilus2729I would recommend you don't put your foot in your mouth by assuming, it only paints you the fool. The Bad Batch is my favorite Star Wars content since Clone Wars. I don't even use Reddit, so don't try to be some random internet warrior. As an author I think I know quality better then most, and I have a 141 IQ, which is low end genius lol. I'm objectively smarter then 84% of humanity, as 84% of humans have an IQ of 115 or less. Lastly Star Wars as Liam Neeson himself has said, and I agree, has gone to far. It loses it's specialness when you just milk something to death, if you love something, you END IT. Most of the stuff these days is horrible, Andor, Ahsoka, Acolyte, (Huh...all the bad ones start with an A....interesting coincidence), Tales of a Jedi and Bad Batch were fantastic. But fanboys like you just praise anything cause you can't let go of your damn addiction to a fictional world.
