this is my favorite deck as well!! it makes buying any card a potential investment to sacrifice later, helping keep games close and not wasting gold any turn. it's the coolest deck to get good prestige swings with imo. Crow is crow ofc, but damn, playing a rally card and then sacrificing it to jump up 12 at the right time is just one example of how good i think the patron power is.

Yeah I love sacrificing rally! If I win a game with rally having not sacrificed it on the last play of it, likely was a mistake to not sacrifice it.

I love choosing this deck along with a power deck or maybe crows. Currency exchange has won me several games with the extra patron play. Lots of people don't see two patrons towards you as a threat. Also Currency Exchange along with the crow deck can give you a huge prestige swing to put you over the top.

I was on the receiving end of both contract actions on the board turn 1. They bought both, and a currency exchange that replaced it. Then the bough rally on their third turn with the gold from currency exchange. I would have conceded right then but it was a match with a friend!

I love pairing Hlaalu with the Crows. Bide your time, rack up a nasty runaway combo and a dragon's hoard of gold, pay the bird, win.

Yeah you can have some crazy crow patrons when you introduce cards like House Marketplace or Currency Exchange into your combos!

I'd actually say Hostile Takeover is D-tier, and worse than Customs Seizure. At least with the latter you could consistently pick up additional cards to sacrifice, but with Hostile Takeover you really need to land the combo. I tend to leave both of these cards in the tavern though as I consider them 'traps' in that by late game, they would end up polluting your deck with weak cards if you're not consistently using the Hlaalu patron power.

That logic is sound, and customs seizure is definitely more consistent than Hostile Takeover. However they are both really poor cards, so being a consistent D tier card is not much of a strength IMO, and atleast with hostile takeover you can gamble and get a card like currency exchange/rally which can be gamechanging!

Yea if you get some of the good cards early you can just buy your win and people can do nothing to stop it

I value the gold generation cards somewhat less than you do since I play Rajhin in 100% of my games and I am much less scared of my opponent having currency exchange than what your ranking might suggest. Admittedly, on one or two occasions currency exchange has caused me to lose patron victories after the enemy picks up a tithe that I was not expecting, and I realize that I should be a little more aware of the possibility of losing patron victories that I sometimes tunnel vision away from. I think the combo effect of the card to get the extra patron power, is a much scarier aspect of the card, compared to its gold generation. Even if my oppponent only has a modest number of bewilderments in their deck, it still messes with their gold generation. At the point in the game where my opponent will usually have currency exchange, I am just not really worried about the opponent picking up big prizes. From your last video I also value prophesy somewhat less than you do, but a major difference between prophesy and currency exchange is, prophesy is a strong engine opener if you pick it up on curve, whereas currency exchange is not typically available as an opener, and not typically available turn 3 or 4 either. Sure if my opponent gets currency exchange on turn 3 after grabbing luxury exports thats terrifying, but if they play a more normal game and get currency exchange on curve on turn 6 or 7, by this time I have probably already started to acquire either big power or engine cards, and have started to feed my opponent curses, so currency exchange's power value is not normally on the top of my list of things to be worried about.

Thanks for the feedback! I am curious as to why you value gold generation less due to having rajhin in your matches. Is it just because you have more options for it with stuff like grand larceny? I definitely agree the combo ability on currency exchange is likely the scariest part of the card. But even if the enemy is being super careful wtih patron powers and you cant get a patron victory, using double sacrifice or sacrifice crow just gives so much prestige! I find almost every turn I play currency exchange ends up being a very strong one. Looking forward to hopefully seeing your opinions in future tierlists! Rajhin is one of my least played so far but I 'have been trying to practice it a bit and definitely am learning its strengths and weaknesses. Always like hearing from players who have been focusing on the deck.

@@PinkAppleYT The reason that gold generation is not as powerful is because when your deck is sabotaged 1) you won't be able to stack the high gold output as reliably to get to numbers like 7+ gold and 2) you won't be able to stack combos as reliably. These two effects are synergistic at reducing the importance of gold generation, if it's harder to make a card like Blackfeather Knight contribute, then it's not as important to be able to buy a Blackfeather Knight in the first place. Whereas, if you open the game with a card like Warrior Wave or Siege Weapon Volley, you are at least going to draw that card every reshuffle. If you have the right setup, where you have two Siege Weapon Volleys out of the opening and your opponent has gold generation such as Prophecy and Luxury Exports out of the opener, you are in very good shape to fill their deck with curses and make their gold generation relatively less effective while they cannot make your power generation equally ineffective. Of course, you have to take what the game gives you, and the skill in Tales of Tribute comes from reading the situation and estimating what you can do. So even if Blackfeather Knight is inherently *less* effective exclusively due to Rajhin being in the game, there are still plenty of times when Blackfeather Knight is the correct buy anyway and you have to try to build the purple combo deck instead of a more reliable big power deck because that's what the tavern gods gave you, and it can still work in many situations because your engine with curses will still ramp faster than your opponent's engine with curses, perhaps because you got lucky and got better card buys, but also because you did smart things like denying your opponent cards that would be good for him, denying your opponent as much free tavern removal as possible from your own buys, and intelligently managing what cards you have in your reshuffles. (And, there are also games when I never click on Rajhin to give my opponent curses, because, I don't need to, I've already gotten good openers and based on what the game gave me can ramp faster by doing other things).
