I really like how the anime change the fate of Eizen. He was spared from the death route. He is one of the people who really knows the true story of how did Moutelus became an Empyrean and true origin of Velvet Crowe in Tales of Berseria which the distant prequel of Tales of Zestiria.

His death is part of Sorey's character development- to show that not everyone can be saved by shepherds. Besides, Eizen was "cursed" in Berseria- and sparing him in the anime only made that curse seem superficially tragic instead of being profoundly moving- as Sorey became even more determined to study the lore and find a solution.

Edna really helped carry Zestiria, she's the best girl in the game just like Magilou was the best girl in Berseria.

berseria didn't need magilou to carry the entire game, the cast was excellent

Magilou is one of the few "Harlequin" type character done right, god I was so worried she's gonna be annoying only for her to be the best character out of a very good cast

Berseria doesn't need Magilou to carry the game though. The characters there are already solid. Magilou only made a memorable impact to an already solid roster.

I hate that Sorey broke this promise. I mean we didnt even get a change to purify Eizen which is stupid. That's probably the only thing that I like more in anime

Well, the game establishes that purifying a dragon is impossible, and Eizen had already accepted his fate in the past.

@@fg009letyrds8 Maotelus is a special case, and Sorey was just purifying the malevolence corrupting him. All the dragons created from malevolence cant be purified or turned back into seraphs, at least in the game

​@@DylJaxI always thought the answer would be that the dragon needed to be placed in Laphi's domain of Purification for an extended time. We saw Sorey purify Laphicet, but it took years to undonthe malevolence. To me, it made more sense to the overall lore of both games, that dragons couldnbe pured... but they required the strongest level of Purification, and extended exposure to it. The opposite of the extended exposure to Malevolence. But the writers dropped the ball overall closing out the lore.
