Riding a hot blooded horse | New Horse Game In Making

In this video I'm showing you the hot-blooded horse type. It reacts to jumps by bolting. The speedometer changes to red when the horse has detected a jump in front of it.
This is a new horse game in the making that for now goes by the working title "Horsegame.exe".

Getting my tales of rein ravine recatch up today after a while and wow, looking back on this video from 2 years ago and comparing it to the animations and progress made since (even just looking at the public demo alone still is impressive, and thats 'old' version now you could say) and seeing how the work on the game is still going steady quietly but strong. Such an amazing horse game! This is exactly the kind of horse game I've been waiting for ever since I've started riding! The animations are exceptional, the realistic jumping that has recently been added. Even when you miss a jump the poles fall down and the person fall off! I love when the different types of horses and them speeding up when they see the jump. This is such an amazing looking game so far, keep up the amazing work!

the demo is only going to have 2-3 horses. the full game i dont know, could be anywhere between 6 to 15 horses. if i add dressage the dressage horses would likely be a separate "breed".

@@robloxgaming948 from what i heard this is just one person working on this. Not to mention that this is in the early stages. You can’t really compare this game to an online open world game. This game is more realistic in the actions that’s for sure. Like how the character actually moves. But starstable is probally more smooth but starstable was old and crusty 10 years ago. I played that game when it first came out and they have improved with the graphics. This game is not old at all and has a lot of room to improve. So we will see in a few years how far this game has come. For now we really can’t judge this game

This is amazing!! So nice to see different personalities of horses! You clearly must have a least some experience with horses since so many horse games have kind of robotic horses in some aspects, as in they all behave the same, but you seem to know not all horses behave the same!! Some horses DO behave like what you show in this video and it's great to see in a game form! I'm guessing that this kind of horse personality would be one you could get a bit later in the game as you progress and become a more experienced rider and would need the experience to handle such a horse to not constantly get thrown off? I'm not sure how you would implement that in game form though... Your progress with this game is amazing and I really look forward to seeing more!!

The animation could use some tuning across the back and neck but frankly it looks and sounds great so far! You even have lead changes in there which 99% of games don't bother with (Or they get them backwards) It's also really nice that the horse isn't neighing or whinnying at every refusal because real horses don't do that. XD Hot blooded horses definitely look like they will be an interesting handicap to deal with. The backgrounds and landscaping looks good too, and I really like the hair effects and shadows. Excited to see where this goes!

I like that if you fail a jump extremely bad you fall off the horse and the way the horse's head moves when it sees a jump are cool realistic touches. :3 Imagine if this game started getting bigger later on and starts rivaling Star Stable (the behemoth) and Rival Stars Horse Racing.

i would like to give some ideas...i think the jumping of the horse should be a little smoother (with the landing so it doesn't go from a low speed to fast speed out of nowhere (hope you know what i mean xd)) and also i think the hot blooded horses should also be able to rear and buck the game so far looks amazing tho

That was pretty good! But you can make this parkour a little better. I mean, these jump barriers may be located so that you can still make a normal turn after the jump, not that you jump out, for example, and then turn the horse in a completely different direction, if you know what i mean, and go to the next jump. :)

I love the jumping animations but the horse and rider jolt forward when galloping and looks really stiff. Also try to avoid making the horse slide well in the air. Just some feedback but you're doing really good And I am so excited to see this game fully out. Keep going

usually, in games, you get really mad if the course isn’t working - the horse is not doing what you say. But in this game, i actually talk to the horse like how i would in real life and give them pep talks. Yes, it’s that realistic!!!

You should add an honest horse as a type which will refuse and then carry on to jump it from stand still or fall down over a jump in the doubles and jump the second that would be awesome

I have a suggestion, when the player falls off I think there should be a button on the keyboard or on the screen that you press to get back up, but only if your up for it I don’t know much about coding so I don’t know how hard it is. Also, can players get off the horse to brush, feed, tack, all the necessary stuff? And is there a barn, how many horses can you have, do you have currency, I’m sorry I have a lot of questions 😅

Is there going to be competitions or adventure or something else to it? I love adventure games, rescue, building up from scratch, earning my living and missions 😁 In this video you show different types of horses. Love it! Will the horse be better with practise or is it hot blooded for good?
