I have always watched and listened to Dr Taimur’s knowledgeable programs as this helped me expand my knowledge and understanding🙏 secondly, Dr Taimur’s neutral and realistic opinions and perspectives have always attracted me not miss his single lectures. There is a fundamental flaw in comparing Vietnam and Afghanistan, in my humble view. After almost half a decade from Vietnam, US has leaped forward in new war weapons technology and protections for soldiers while the other side, Taliban, are pretty much at the same level or even below (North Vietnamese had even an air force ) the Vietnamese guerrilla forces when it comes to weapons and ammunition.add to this the difference in geography of a rather dry and barren Afghanistan and thick forests of Vietnam affording heavy shelter for Vietnam guerrilla forces.

He said he went to kabul and received feedback from Afghan people. If that's the case you can not take control of 150 District in just 6 days. Government doesn't have any money of it's own. It collects money from others in the forms of taxes, more benefits means higher taxes. Do you have any common sense or can you do simple maths? Unnecessary interference in the economy by the successive socialist leaders to protect the so called 'labour' and poor have made impossible to do business there hence most of businesses left for Asia. To make things worse, they invaded Iraq, Libya and others to improve their economy by stealing oil but that policy also backfired as the stupid leadership end up spreading trillions for no gains.

Prof. Taimur, firstly thank you for your contributions in disseminating communist and philosophical education etc. My question to you is regarding the political governance by communists in Afghanistan in the 70s and 80s. There is just so much disinformation in regards to the USSR and PRC as evil vampire countries which I've overcome and hoped for more nuanced ideas of history of these progressive movements, but the afghani experience just seems to be a hot hot mess. Similar to Pol pot. What do you think went wrong? Clearly western intervention was just disastrous for both cambodia and afg. But do you think the communist leaders of afghanistan should be criticized and that there were no actual good guys at all in the afghan crisis of the 80s or does the story contain more shades and realities not discussed. The capitalist is merely the person who funds the product. The idea that he is talking about is a product of labour. Who designs SpaceX's rockets? Is it Elon or any of the other shareholders? No. It is the team of engineers who he pays. The idea of the rockets belongs to someone else. Same with just about any historical product. The capitalist is a shareholder. That is their job. Beyond that, on the question of entrepreneurship, any vague, nonsense ideas they come up with turn into innovation only because the labourer has the funding to work. Is Elon a rocket scientist? No. He is a man, with money, who wants to go to Mars. That's the extent of his innovation. Something a 12 year old boy can come up with. The only difference is, he has the money to act on it.

You should also take the factual views from the other side too . Soviet and china was explicitly supporting Vietnamese , as part of bi polar order, Soveit was super power along with US. But there was only Pakistan which was implicitly supporting TTA and how strong is Pakistan against US you know well. That is why difference is of 60 and 4 thousand casualties. Also the position of military power, size of NATO and financial position of US in world arena was considerably different than that of today's hegemony.
