I hope this also 'normalizes' swirlies more, some fights can get so hectic that it can be hard to tell between hostile effects and friendly ones, obviously an issue with stuff like healing rain but even some dps skills suffer when the tank moves mobs out of the static aoe

I think this is the start of 'Mount Families'. Imagine every type of mount having a unique control set. Remember the WQ Frog'it? Now consider maybe cat mounts gain a passive stealth effect making you harder to detect while mounted and maybe leaps behind a target before you dismount for combat. There's a ton of effects that aren't just speed that mounts could grant us, and there's room for that in a dynamic system.

I love the vibe of Undermine and the story/campaign was entertaining. Reznik needs a voice and I'm surprised there aren't longer roads, like a highway going over the town or tunnels underneath. Also weird not to have big ramps/jumps. The high speeds don't mesh well with the cramped city, and while players can get used to that, it does seem like it would have been great to have longer roads. Like in GTA when you get sick of the cramped city, you might hit the highway or countryside. But the city is great and I love seeing the work the devs put into it.

I jumped on the PTR to go sightseeing around Undermine, and color me impressed. The zone is bigger than i thought it would be, and it so well hashed out and feels lived in. I didn't really do any of the story because i didn't want to ruin it, but what i have seen, I'm very happy with it.

Make a Blood Elf and chose Eversong Woods as your Starting area. 2. Immediately head to the capital of Sivermoon to use the Portal to go to Orgrimmar. 3. Arrive in the Orgrimmar portal room. Then turn around and try to go back to Silvermoon. By the way this also happens if you play as Alliance. Or any portal to a starting area. Low level toons can not use portal room portals except to go to the Dragon isles. Before the War Within Launched they could.

I dont like the idea of D.R.I.V.E. being something only for Undermine for one sole reason: resources. Its resources being put in something that will not be reused in the future, not an evergreen system. Imo, we had enough of "borrowed power/systems/things" in old expansions, Blizz should focus on things for the long run, like the talent system and Skyriding in DF or the upcoming housing system. Im tired of these "hey, play with this for a while and then forget about it and move on".

They're testing new ground locomotion with this. Cars in games are pretty clearly defined, they're typically a lot more straightforward to nail than coming up with a way to make every kind of mount ever run with believable physics. We got that and a controlled, smaller environment to test things out. I don't think it's a waste of resources, it's a trial run. One we need to make actual dynamic ground mounts a thing at all.

The system feels worse than skyriding/dragonriding in the DF Alpha/First public test. For D.R.I.V.E. to actually work the need to rework the whole zone with custom geometry just for the car to ride smoothly. I've tested this pretty much since it released on the PTR and if they want this to be released to Azeroth after they basically have to redo and re-mesh the whole world to eliminate collision on small obstacles and stuff like that. They basically need to make a "momentum" save by having a bounce off the surface you hit ( again they need to rework the whole zone ). It feels horrid and this should not release/be updated outside of Undermine. Sure it's an interesting system but there is so much work for it to work decently it's just not worth it.

I’m just going to do it get whatever I can and then probably forget all about this zone. I guess the best way to describe my feelings about the goblins in wow and the lore associated with them is tolerant at best. I think they had a bit of comic relief, but they are so cheesy and horny and feel pretty much out of place and it’s hard to take them seriously. I have always been more of a low fantasy aficionado I never really got into the whole Warhammer 40 K thing. I was too busy playing pen and paper dungeons and dragons said Greyhawk realm.
