Yo Dilliot! It worked doc! I was @ a cookout in Richmond, Va on July 11th, over 2,000 people and sung Remeber the Time by MJ and people lost it. This way of doing it is very organic and it's that ish! Thanks bcuz I watched this vid for a month and some of Rogers too!Outstanding by the Gapband sounds great on it too. Cool tutorial!!! I have an ES7 but I bought the Korg R3 also. Its a cool little board and has an excellent vocoder section but I'm learning u can run other keyboards through it and get some pretty wicked patch combos! I'll let u know how that goes. Keep doin' your thing!!!

dilliot2k! This old video helped me to get really great vocodersounds on my Motif XF. And that happened after a long time of working in the wrong directions. Your video is simply the best out there! Hi, if I load a VOICE with sampled components, such as Organ Session, when I turn off the keyboard I cancel the samples causing the VOICE not to work? If I put this VOICE in a PERFORMANCE, do I only lose in real time volume controls (drowbars effect) or also the samples? So the solution is to put the usb stick in AUTOLOAD and always load the samples every time the keyboard is turned on? Thank you

@@dilliot2k yes just finished, used Saw Lead on Motif 7 and Saw Destroyer on Motif XS7. At first I thought something was wrong with the XS7 but then I noticed my finger kept touching the effects pad while using the oscillator so it was changing the tuning. XS7 was super easy to setup cause pretty much everything is on the first screen. Thanks again for the video help.

Everything!! I've owned it since 2013 and still don't really know shit. This is why they have a site called the motifator cause even guys who have owned it for 10 years don't know everything about it. Have no idea how to layer sounds, Sometimes when i compose a beat i'll pick a sound for a certain track then decide i want to change it then when i hit play again it goes back to the old sound i disregarded, I think you can only use two effects for each channel correct? Have upgraded my memory along time ago but never sample on it.....almost pointless beings i got the maschine studio..... How can i use a midi keyboard like the KK to play the sounds from the motif like a sound module??

yeah you get about 8 channels with 2 effects on there, gotta make sure you hit job then store to save your changes.

i have a dan electro talkbox and uim using it with my guitar into my amp as u may well know i has mics on the sides of the tube now have u ever tried one because i cant seem to get a good talking sound from it ive seen a lot of video on how to use it but when i use it its more note then my voice manipulation im keeping the tube about 2 inches in im only forming the shapes and im also using the mics provided would u suggest buying a mic and hooking it up through pa or a different style of tone

Ok, I am pretty sure he has a talk box then runs the ES output to the talkbox in the tube is going to his mouth then he is just mouthing the words. The synth is just shooting the sound to his mouth and this vid is telling you how he gets the tone. This is stated in the top title. YOU NEED AN ACTUAL TALK BOX! NOT A MIC! If you have the XF they have a card you can buy that a mic will plug into and it works as a vocoder thus no talk box needed. It is much more pricy of a unit though. It is about $150 for a Heil talk box at musicians friend or sweetwater. You will need a mic, a pa for the mic to run the talkbox sound out through. You need a keyboard or guitar etc and an amp to run the sound it makes to the talkbox. You put the tube next to the mic play something, put your mouth up and word without speaking the instrument is the voice. Here is a link. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M222--mxr-m222-talk-box-pedal I hate to tell you that you will need some skill to play and mouth the words in real time. It is not easy to do quick especially on a guitar. It will take practice and you will have to know the song cold! It also takes money... at least one pretty good sized amp to run through the box and a good sized PA to run the mic to. The mic should be a certain type and then you will also need an instrument and cables etc. You will need to experiment with where to place things like speaker cabs so you will avoid feedback and if you put too much signal by turning up the volume you can blow your horn and speaker coils! $$$ and down time next. This is not playing with a band either which is entirely harder due to cross talk and feedback. It is an art and this vid makes you think it is easy, it is not. Sorry to tell you. Get the FX and the expansion card if you want to do it easier but again not cheap!
